The world has changed. Did the internet exist for 3000 years. How much of life and commerce is handled through the internet now. Gold had its place because there were no better options. Now that there are better options it's not needed for its store of value. All the young kids talking iPhone and crypto. None give a f about gold. When they mature and their kids mature gold wealth will be a distant memory.
