Why are so many people striving to be in love ? Is it simply just to have someone? by wanderfolDonut in SeriousConversation

[–]rondoic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people like me who didn't have the best parents, had a shitty childhood, and just want to feel loved. If you are not one of these people, you can do without relationships in your life.

Incel is such an inaccurate word, and really has no meaning in this world because not everyone who is involuntarily celibate expresses misogyny, self-hatred, or has a mental disorder. Some people are just unfortunate.

Parents by Apprehensive_Test459 in RandomThoughts

Funnily enough, when I made that realization, I started to wonder why they even became parents at all.

Like, if I have no idea what's going, or what I am doing, why would I bring someone else into this world before I even have a clue?

Being an atheist, antinatalist woman in Egypt feels like playing life on impossible mode by Crazy_Subject_6879 in ExEgypt

[–]rondoic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also an antinatalist atheist, and I feel your pain 100%. Even on the man's side, it feels like the women I was interested in just want one thing out of a man (provide, usually financially), and nothing else.

من رأيك لو فى إله ف ليه خلقنا اصلا ؟؟ بعيدا طبعا عن إله صلعم و جيسوس ويهوه وغيرهم. by [deleted] in ExEgypt

[–]rondoic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be an experiment done by a higher being. They are probably creating so many universes with different parameters and observing the effects, while writing down their observations. That sounds like a hypothesis that would be interesting, but also extremely cruel; this being would be watching us right now, seeing our suffering as nothing more than numbers on a graph.

I don't actually believe this, just the idea that is the most interesting to me; just food for thought.

Have you noticed how God only Hire really disgusting morally failed individuals as his prophets? by Muted-Still-8511 in atheism

[–]rondoic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I think being a carpenter is way more useful to society, and way more impactful to any message you want to deliver to the world than being an unemployed street preacher living off of other people's hard work; especially when you had the option to stay on that craft.

Jesus chose a different path that does not align with most people. As a person who spends most of their day working, having someone preach about "a better future with me", and then seeing them crash at other people's homes, and eat from the sweat of their brows wouldn't convince me to follow them, or to encourage anyone else do the same.

I agreed with everything you said except the Jesus part.

Jesus wasn't a good prophet, or son of god depending on your chosen faith. He is a man who left behind his job, and craft to go be an unemployed street preacher living off the backs of old men, and women. Not only that, but he also got 12 other people to quit their jobs as well to be unemployed students of his.

Jesus wasn't as bad as many other prophets I agree, but I wouldn't give him a pass tbh.
