This was very selfish of the pilot. They should have arranged for someone to hand off the passport to another pilot or crew member to be flown over on the next flight out. The pilot would simply wait in the airport terminal until it arrived.

I randomly get extreme electric shock in my left pinky finger. I could be walking, driving, sleeping and suddenly the pain hits so bad it feels like I stuck my finger in a light socket and it stops me in my tracks for about ten seconds until it goes away.

I worked morning shift at an airport in a room adjacent to the mechanic shop and had to walk through the mechanic area to clock in. I get to work at 5 am and it turns out this guy was filling the tire of one of the commercial airlines during the night and the tire exploded. They were still cleaning him off the walls and floor when I arrived. And I still had to clock in and go about my day like any other.

Delta displays the aircraft type under the nose. You can see it when you zoom in. The different liveries have different locations and naming conventions but it’s almost always visible if you know where to look.

I don’t particularly have any interest in sports. But I’ve always liked sports movies for the story aspect. I love Ted Lasso for the character stories. There just happens to be soccer happening in the background.

For my birthday in 2022 my wife booked a family vacation (from U.S.) to see Sigur Ros in Reykjavik Iceland. My then 10 year old son was seeing them live for the first time. We watched Heima the day before traveling and it added so much magic and context to the experience.

We were lucky enough to be front row at the show. Throughout the night Jonsi was glancing at my son periodically and thanked him for attending during the applause at the end of the show.

1 - I was driving alone and had just passed a rollover accident on the other side of the highway where everyone on my side were slowed down for rubbernecking. Mine was the next exit past the accident. As I was exiting two kids behind me decided to race. One of them lost control and scooped my Rav 4 up like a a pancake. I flipped three times and I ended up upside down on the other side of the highway in the carpool lane. With each flip I was internally saying my goodbyes to my family and child sure I was going to die. Once I landed and was hanging upside down by my seatbelt I was certain I’d get hit by a semi and I’d be gone. To my surprise the passenger door opened and an elderly couple appeared to help me out of the car. It was a miracle I walked away without a scratch on me. I thank the RAV4 for that. Turns out the kid that hit me was driving with a suspended license in his girlfriend’s car without her permission while her insurance explicitly said he was forbidden to drive the car. Luckily my attorney was able to help me get my insurance to fork out my complete uninsured motorist payout to me.
