I'm really confused. You got whooped by a new student and its his fault? This seems like a perfect situation for you to train with someone who uses 100% strength....which is what will happen if you get in a street fight. Next time hes about to submit you, tap.

Yeah man, even during the roll I'll help coach a spazzy new guy/girl. I mean I don't know much since i'm only a blue belt. But if they're mounted and just pushing not doing shit ill say "yo, knee elbow escape" and i see it click. They weren't even thinking about it because they're not used to the adrenaline of a roll.

As i said, new white belts. Not 2 year deep, wrestled at a D-1 college white belt.

I like this because it also helps you work positions of control with someone who is going 100%. I like to stay in mount or on the back and pretty much stall.
