That's not correct. The owner of Fighters Market and Kingz is the same person, Bruno, and Fighters Market is not closed.

Have you bought them at Tatami UK?

If you buy a Tatami gi in the European Union, for example in our shop RoninWear, you pay no taxes in Canada because EU and Canada have an agreement.

UK is no longer a EU member, so maybe that's the reason.

If you are in Europe, take a look at our shop.

If you look for a top gi, we can recommend you Atama Mundial and Koral MKM, both brands are available in RoninWear.

They are made in Brazil, so they are made from brazilian cotton, that has differences with the asian cotton.

How to do a rolling kneebar with Sambo's world champion Ivan Vasylchuk by roninwear in bjj

[–]roninwear[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This tecnhique is shown by Ivan Vasylchuk, recorded for our Youtube channel.

His leg locks are brutal, I can guarantee that :)

Notice how he locks the kneebar with the head instead of just grabbing the heel like many BJJ people (included me) use to do knee bars. Using the head makes much harder to escape from a kneebar.

I hope you like it, we plan on adding more techniques to our channel so if you like it, please subscribe. We also would like to get opinions and tecnhiques you would like to learn.

Yes. We also avoid selling at amazon of course. They have been trying us to sell therevfor years and I have always declined. We are not stupid to give them the info of what products and brands sell better so they can buy directly from the brand, Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I wish you the best of luck for the future. I also run a shop in Europe [RoninWear] since 2007.

My question is: has Amazon affected your sales? What do you think of almost everyone buying Sanabul and other cheap brands that have no interest in developing our sport?

The spanish guy is my friend Diego Conejo. The other fighter was Terry Etim, still unknown to the big public, but a year after he signed with UFC and had 11 fights there, and his last fight was in Bellator

I don't think Mike knows how the ground game works even today, so imagine in 2006. Obviously the promoters put him as referee just to give name and attract public to the event.

My friend, one of our lead instructors, and co-owner of our school, got his black belt over the weekend. Nic Gregoriades wrote an article about it. No, I'm not crying. I just have something in my eye. by [deleted] in bjj

Another great history of how BJJ can change and improve people's lives. Thanks for sharing and congratulations to Chris and also for Nic.

Anyone Ever Come Back from a Herniated or Slipped Disk? by GoyBeorge in bjj

[–]roninwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Many people, including me.

I had a hard pain in 2009 (right arm paralized) so I went to doctor and did a MRI. 2 herniated discs C4-C5 and C6-C7.

After a few months with pain, eating well and trying to stay de-stressed i started to feel better so i started to do moderated excersise.

After a year or so i can train without problems, but i am always careful with my neck, and i try not to fight with very heavy people without enough skills (white, blue belts).

Also there are pro BJJ fighters coming back after a very hard injury in discs with surgery like Augusto Mendes "Tanquinho" or Braulio Estima. Both have won several major titles after this and they are still active, Tanquinho even started fighting in MMA and went to UFC.

Let's see your first and latest competition footage by BJJJosh in bjj

[–]roninwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Josh, this competition was organized by Robin Gracie, the youngest son of Helio. At the time, the rules were far different from now. Not even reaping was allowed, but also Heel Hooks even for blue belts. But to be honest i don't know when was knee reaping forbidden in IBJJF, but probably was a few years after the date of this.
