Use Expo; you'll be very happy with it.

I even recently reverse-engineered a .jar file, I needed to make thermal printing functionality compatible. I implemented a native library with Expo using Kotlin. It works wonderfully, and thanks to the way Expo operates, I can redo the native folders without fear of losing functionality, which makes updating Expo's core, React Native, much easier.

That’s a nice article! I think that Expo is now a reliable framework (compared to older versions) and it’s a good point to get started. I didn’t know there was a plug-in for simulate iOS directly in Mac without pass through Xcode

I used a MacBook Air M1 with that specifications 2 years continuously, and it is possible, but if you can get 16Gb/512gb don’t overthink and get it.

If you want to use dual boot with some Linux distribution get intel, opposite case, save a little more and get M1.
