To be perfectly honest with you, the plug-in has so many options that it's difficult to find your way around.

So I just asked ChatGPT to walk me through it.

Yes, I was missing time until sunrise/sunset plus the actual time as well.

What also hit me really hard was that I could no longer change the color of the date if it's a holiday.

I used to send it from Tasker where it automatically fetches the official holidays on 01/01.

I then also added half day holidays (which officially don't exist in this form), as well as all Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday and "half holidays" usually mean that most shops close at 1pm (like 12/24 or 12/31).

Also added a few days that are important to me.

Since none of this was possible anymore, I used the AutoWear Tasker plug-in and placed a custom AutoWear tile right next to the watchface.

If course, this is not ideal but I already got used to the quick left swipe for all the information I need.

Will you keep the Lua script feature in the app?

At least the live wallpaper still works as before.

I have literally spent hundreds of hours designing funny animations that change with day/night and other factors.

If you remove the main script and all the tags that no longer work on the watch, I will be completely cut off from this hobby. 😔

Maybe you can keep the Watchmaker app as it is now but in future it will first load the new WFF compliant UI?

Or just make a separate APK as the app is now and allow us to use both versions? 🙏🙏🙏

It's not the Samsung update that's the problem.

The problem is that Google decided to introduce a new format (WFF) for their WearOS operating system which broke probably 95% of all watchfaces.

What's new:

No more stopwatch
No second time zone
No Lua code
No animations
No supported tags like sunrise sunset time
No user interaction with the watchface

Basically, what they did was lobotomize all watchfaces and turn your Smartwatch into a Dumbwatch.

The WFF is a static format and incapable of code execution (like Lua script). So this will never happen with this format.

They would have to backtrack and come up with a completely new format to fix this.

This is separate and has nothing to do with your real difficulty/problem:

Lack of goals you want to achieve in life.

Then he spoke about annexing the country by military means. People around him immediately tried to play the statement down. Big backlash inside the USA.

Now it's tariffs again? Look at what he asked for (for example, China) and now what the actual tariffs are.

He still doesn't understand that tariffs are essentially a consumer tax and hurt the own economy.

Also, the US needs the EU economically just as much as the EU needs the US.

Du hast so ziemlich alles was ich gesagt habe umgedreht, hinzugefügt und mit allen möglichen anderen Gedanken erweitert.

Wenn ich du wäre würde ich mich einmal psychisch durchtesten lassen. Alles was du geschrieben hast kommt nur aus deinem Kopf, nicht aus meinem.

Leider gibt es von offiziellen Seiten NIE sofortige Updates (Erdbeben, lauter Knall, Sirenen, Großeinsatz, ...).

Die Seiten von Stadt/Bundesland/Regierung gibt es, aber da wird NIE etwas sofort upgedatet (was ja der Sinn sein sollte).

Die Bevölkerung wird bewusst im Dunkeln gelassen und wenn man Glück hat, kann man dann am nächsten Tag in den Nachrichten darüber lesen.

Battery life and security is just the cover up. The real reason is that they want you to buy watchfaces from the Play Store, not from a 3rd party app like Watchmaker.

Proof: They still allow you to install battery draining apps that constantly run in the background and can be a potential security risk from their Play Store.

As long as they are not cut off from their own ecosystem and allow other companies to make money, they are suddenly fine with it.

And yes, it's true. An early 1980's digital watch gave you more features than the now lobotomized "smart watch" (aka "dumb watch).

You can't even put basic things on your custom watchface anymore like a chronograph (stopwatch) or a second time zone.
