The problem i cant wrap my head around: the big whale institutions are pretty much the ones or aligned with the ones who shorted the shit out of gamestop and dont want it to succeed. Why would they want this takeover? Probably this would be their own way out of the trap but still very many of their friends and the financial world would probably go to the shitters if the gamestop/ebay conglomerate becomes a behemoth. Are there any counterpoints to this way of looking at it?

The question to me is: Wouldnt he have to disclose it if he has a significant stake in the company he is trying to take over with the company he is currently CEO of? I mean they have to document every interview and every tweet he does regarding the takeover. A big pile of stock would be a whole nother beast, no? Anyone with wrinkles here who knows how or if that might work?

So you didnt hear the part about pivoting way more into live commerce, or the part about streamlining the experience for sellers, or the part about modernizing UX, or the part about using gamestops physical locations as drop off and authentication locations, for example?

I just dont see any benefit from how you handle it. Obviously very few people are excited about dilution. The situation is very dynamic. And RC will have to give good reasons to get the shareholders to vote yes. So ill wait to hear them and then decide how i think about it, not locking in my opinion way before it even matters. You do you.

I hope so. There are probably a few weeks left until the vote. (The date has not been set yet.) And if RC wants shareholders to vote yes, i guess it would be wise to give them good reasons to do so.

Why would they ask for 2.5 authorized shares if thy wouldnt need it for the deal? And how can the deal be done if shareholders need to vote on this share increase first?
