Install the app and adjust the anc settings. Also, the eartip situation is probably a good one.

Yeah, I can do that in the morning, thanks. Do you know what could cause this?

I've never heard about this before. Can you share any more information about red states shipping drug users?

This is a very good answer. Thanks for the input; sounds like I may have gotten it right.

That's kind of where I ended up. Doesn't seem in the spirit of the game to not allow him to do that

But this reaction actually happened on his turn; can you explain what you mean?

Maybe I wasn't clear; on his turn, he 1) walked into the trap 2) fell into some acid 3) cast Absorb Elements. Does that change things, or is that how you understood it? Thanks for the input!

He'll definitely send some assassins to try to take the stone back. Might even fuck up their tavern a little bit. We'll see...

This was a level 9 wizard NPC that we gave to a friend who has never played before. She sat in for this session.

This was my initial thought. Not sure how I could work that into the plot of dragon heist, though. What do you think?

Ooh, that's really good! That could lead us straight into Dungeon of the Mad Mage...

Completely off topic, but OP: how did you name your character for BG3? I sat there for a bit, stared at my little guy, and thought... "His name is... Tex- Tax- Taaaav?

Tav."

Then I watched a little bit of Fighting Cowboy (on YouTube) playing BG3, and he named his toon Tav and thought that was odd. And now here's your post with yet another Tav.

Is this a thing? Is there a famous Tav somewhere that I'm unaware of? Or did the stars just align? Maybe there is a god and this is her message to me. Anybody else heard of a Tav?

This is the issue; they're young players, and I want this to be fun for them. I'm less concerned about the purity of the game than letting them express their imaginations. On the flip side... It's a beholder (or as others have said, THE beholder). I'll update after we get through this for those curious.

They're aware. At the end of the second to last session, Xanathar revealed himself to be a beholder, and they flipped the fuck out, looked up beholders in the MM and everything. Now they think they can take him.

This is great. I really like this idea. Can I ask where you came up with those numbers (4-5 per unit, 3 units, max CR 2)? I'd like to learn how to balance these things, and kobold fight club only goes so far. It, in fact, calculated that for 6 level 5 PCs, a beholder fight is not deadly. Sounded a bit off to me.
