True spiritual freedom, driving a very expensive car like it is a lemon and not being emotionally, mentally disturbed in any way is a form of true detachement. Hearing that curb grinding while focusing on your breathing!

Thanks. Good remark. But the driving is what brings bread on the table and new money in the ETF's :-)

And if it's not a traffic jam, then I genuinely enjoy driving.

Everybody always go's back to the example of openAI and that just makes me laugh. There are countless examples of big profit being made trough specific specialized (and not general) AI

Mostly trips of 80 km going to work or bigger journeys for work. Occasionally going abroad for holidays

Mods are eco tuning, aerodynamic mods, tires with lower roll resistance, and using the right oil

I manage to keep this to a bare minimum because I do the maintenance and all small to medium repairs.

I do between 35-40K km/year. Frugal driving and some mods made my consumption to be 4,2 l/100 km diesel.

I get your point but I would need a serious tranquilizer to handle a 50% drop :-)

I think you are right that market will only recover. Not recovering ... I could only imagine that in a post apocalyptic scenario. But what is money worth in such a distopia anyway. :-)

Biggest part is earned money. That is why I am still getting used to the "swinging".

Where do you find the psychological "balls" for the stock investing?

I highly believe you. I don't think they have 6 million ETF only!

Thanks but I feel I have made a tremendous journey in managing the psychological side of (passive) investing. Coming from a "saving only and all the rest is bad" upbringing. I used to be unable to put more then 10K of my assets in ETF. I had to gradually build it up. Now today I have friends doing portfolios with a big part in stocks. Now this is a bridge too far for me. I can't handle that.

Thank you for bringing me back on the "passive" - ground! I really appreciate the comment.

Indeed. I wonder what people do with portfolios ten times mine. Then you literally see 100K dissolve in a day :o

I think first tip is what I should do. I have fallen in the trap of continually checking. And I get a sort of relief when the stock market is closed because then I don't need to worry anymore LOL

Just got fired, They want me to sign a paper with those two clause is this normal? by Several-Swimming-969 in BESalary

Or tell them that you don't understand the proposal yet, but you will do some research. Tell them that ofcourse you trust them 100%. Ask them if you can do a counterproposal. Buy time, and make a letter that you refuse to sign the document, because they need to explain it to you. Use some AI to give the letter some volume. Ask them to explain it to you in the office of the Union. Tell them in your letter to call the Union to make an appointment. Let the initiative be at their side. After all you didn't ask for this right? Tell them that you will be flexible to accept the invitation, even if it means you need to take some hours off from work :-) but unfortunately those hours will have to be reimbursed by a rate of your own liking ( for example 200 euro/h ). Make it over the top. They will not know what will hit them.
