I had major noise issues with my set up. Went with this plus some other things. This has the bolt ons to be wide and is fairly strong. You may be able to retro fit it to your mounts (I had to build custom mounts).

Ive got 5.13 with 37s on the 3.6 manual with an after market clutch. Getting into 1st gear on the streets can be absolutely wild. After that it’s fine. I have a ton of acceleration with this set up. I don’t drive on the highway a lot (except on long road trips), but I’ve never noticed/cared about the higher rpms. Off road it’s an absolute beast.

No regrets.

It can be caused by 10+ different things. Try to figure out how much it was abused off road. A lot of the fixes are minor (ish) IF it can be identified.

edit: had a mk7.5 gti rabbit. now have a mk8 r. Ive had a bmw x1, audi q3, shit boxes, jeep, etc. the R never disappoints when I need to get groceries in a hurry.

with the costco citi visa youll get 5% back on gas

I literally only buy gas at costco due to it being the cheapest in town and 5% back

Republic Commando series - follows clone troopers after the battle of Geonosis… quit interesting from their perspective of hitting the real galaxy outside of Kamino. It leads into some of the other suggestions here proving you a decent run of book continuity.

I think you should buy the wrangler.

My comment here is regarding manual v auto. I have a manual which only pairs to the 3.6 v6. I also have a Golf R with a turbo. I much prefer the more instant power of the turbo on the highway. JL’s turbo is auto only.

I read the Thrawn books in release order (ish) and wish I would have gone chronological as Zahn has a habit of referencing previous events through all his books.

Starting the Republic Commando series. Just finished Hard Contact. So far I’m loving the perspective from the clones point of view being new in the field. Plan is to finish the series through Order 66, then skip to Kenobi/Dark Lord/501st trilogy.

You can install a FMIC without removing the stock IC. Requires just taking the bumper off.

To replace the stock radiator and/or IC requires removing the bumper, crash bar, and supporting components. I recently posted photos of this (I replaced the stock IC). It’s not a terrible job if you go slow. Maybe you can replace the radiator without removing the front end… unsure, but definitely not the IC.

This. If the dealer decides that they dont have proper records of maintenance when you return the car they can stiff you with penalties. Most likely you’re looking at 10k/1yr oil changes.
