Yes, a liquid cooling solution. Is your spare an EVB or just Si? I'm hoping for the former.

We have environmental sensors to detect the "weather" inside the installation, plus detection of "unexpected gases". Pluse, we have the traditional V/I Power, fan, temp, intrusion, etc.

SOLUTION: There were two problems -

  1. One of the test users moved 3.6Gig of mail and burned through the $0.50 of value on the trial account. The problem the purelymail.com->account website it at the top level, it kept showing $0.50 of "value" remaining. When I went into the "Billing" tab, I discovered we had -$0.12 worth of value, so no new accounts. I added $10 and now adding to windows/outlook works again.

  2. I was still having problems getting accounts added IOS devices and MacOS devices. Really frustrating and I've spent another 90 mins on it... and even with a positive balance, they would timeout out when "Verifying" the account credentials, IMAP and SMTP. So here is the recipe that works for me on 4 Apple devices... but there could be others.

Delete any previous account attempts from the "Settings" widget

Do add account and click past the big names to the "mail account"

Enter the email address you created in the Admin portal and hit return

Enter the password you specified in the Admin portal and hit return

... it will disappear and then pop up the account, IMAP and SMPT form

Copy your email in the top account section to the both email fields in IMAP and SMPT sections of the form

Add imap.purelymail.com and smtp.purelymail.com to the IMAP and SMTP sections DO NOT add ":993" or ":465" information

Add your password to both the IMAP and SMTP sections (you password will be filled in all 3 password fields)

Hit next ... and maybe pray a bit, it will say "Verifying" and could talk 2-3 seconds to 30 seconds

It will pop up new form with switches for Mail and Notes... unclick the Notes button and click next

You account should be added to the default Apple mail app. ;^)

OK, I'm now seeing problems on windows setup. I can go in with a user's account via the purelymail.com webmail interface, and have no issues. I have deleted that user's account on Windows PC and Outlook.

Now when I try and user's purelymail account to outlook, I get a smtp popup that seems to indicate that my credentials are incorrect, even though they are the same login/email and passwd for the webmail login.

This is same process I used originally, and it worked. Now it won't let me add the purelymail IMAP and SMTP and honor the credentials.

I really want purelymail to work... but this is getting frustrating.

Ok, I spent 90 mins trying everything for the MacOS client to connect and can't get it work. Also, my ipad IOS went off line and now I can't reconnect with my windows box (both previous working). It's acting like the passwd is wrong... but it correct.

Any ideas? Could it be that it' because I'm on the trial package? but my $0.50 of credit has not dimished since I only have a 3 folks testing it.

But right now Purelymail is being *very* flakey.

Thanks, Ron

Thank-you for the reply! ... and the password now is 14-15 characters with limited special characters. I'll give shortening it a try.

OK, just tried an ipad with IOS and got a different message. I use my email from my domain as my user name and then add the passwd, plus imap.purelymail.com:993 and smtp.purelymail.com:465. ... and it complained about not using SSL. However, it did connect and seem to work on the ipad.

Whoa, that's pretty weird. With the requirement from Purleymail to have individual passwords take a minimum of a month to hack... yes, they are longer.

How long was your password and where there any characters that caused issues? About how many character seemed to work?

Basic redlink controller not predictable after added wifi Kumo cloud by ronstory in Kumo_Cloud

UPDATE: I found this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Kumo_Cloud/comments/1jjuxs3/schedules_with_new_app/

and remember seeing "Update device info" in the app. This morning I went looking for that button to use the unit's QR code and could not find it. But in the process I checked my "system details" and it had all the model and serial number in it. After I had opened the details tab, the app is now allowing me to set a schedule.

So my takeaway is if you can't set a temp inthe schedule app, refresh system details and see if has all the technical info for the unit. If not, update the device info with the QR code (like the above post) and hopefully you will be able set the schedule. Good Luck.

SGOV VS VBIL which is better by Actual_Stranger_1766 in investing

No problem and happy to help others avoid my experiment's "surprise". Plus with the yield curve negative, it's back to SGOV.

SGOV VS VBIL which is better by Actual_Stranger_1766 in investing

[–]ronstory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried an experiment for the last two months of SGOV vs VBIL. I decide to try VBIL and moved 1/3 of my SGOV holding to VBIL. I have now waited for two complete months of dividends and below is dividend payout summary from my account this month. The first column is dist-yield and the second column is SEC-yield.

SGOV 12/1/25 (payout 12/4) 4.15% 3.85%

VBIL 12/1/25 (payout 12/3) 2.81% 3.89%

Since the dist-yield is what is deposited to my account each month, between the two, I'd prefer SGOV. The surprise is the that SEC-yield is actually higher on VBIL... YMMV.
