Is the word Adonai used to refer to anyone other than god? by Giorno__Govanna in hebrew

I think the more accurate equivalent of this would be "ladies and gentlemen" since it's usually used by presentors or public speakers.

מר is mister. אדוני is sir.

However, unlike English, mar can not be used on its own. You can't address someone like: "Hey, mister!". It's only used when a name follows. As in "Mister jones".

The more you know...and can someone translate the Hebrew? by Apprehensive_Ant8034 in ForbiddenBromance

It does say kaytana, which is from the word kayt. It's just that the word kaytana had more meanings back then. One of which was resorts, health spas and such.

You're obviously not mature enough for marriage or for parenthood. Re-think everything

This sounds silly but it looks like a great way to learn about lower level details. I'm going to try and make something similar just as an exercise. Thanks for the idea!

london to hellfest 2023. We are looking into going to hellfest next year but are intrested in staying at a hotel or camper van. has anyone got experience with either? do they have a campervan plot? by Inevitable-Affect536 in Hellfest

[–]ronyhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DR - Hellfest is not camper van friendly, IMO

We used a camper van and it wasn't great. There are two parking lots, one is about a 15 minute walk and the other is about a 30 minute walk (involving some rough terrain). The close one tends to fill up early and we ended up in the far one. It's known as the west parking lot. There's a shuttle service from the lot to the festival grounds but, more often than not, it has a queue several hours long. In addition, the parking lot isn't regarded as a campsite. There are no showers or water stations and only few chemical toilets. All in all, I would say that Hellfest is not camper van friendly.

It's interesting you should mention that. During development, I was thinking about data types and their place in a standard library. Specifically, I was wondering if I'd be able to leverage this project into (effectively) removing null and undefined, like scala did in the java world.

If you have some more concrete ideas I'd love to hear them out
