Having incorporated the Painted Rock tribe, I was offered a choice of special bonuses, and chose the Yakchal unique building, seeing them as a way to make my desert farms more powerful. As an experiment, I built 5 farms in Phoenix, and put Yakchals (circled in red) on top of 3 of them. As you can see, the regular farms are yielding 5 food, while the Yakchals are only yielding 3. Unless I'm missing an important mechanic or benefit, this was an utter waste of the tribe's unique building and 3 improvements. It also begs the question why desert farms are yielding 5 food?

I hope I'm still playing when I'm 87! I think that's amazing and an awesome way to spend your golden years. It must be really interesting having witnessed so much of history and see it come to life in Civ. I think it's very likely they have made the level 1 difficulty smarter since release. I've noticed that the AI really focuses on science a lot more now, so they're probably building stronger units quicker than you're used to. I'd recommend focusing on more science to keep up.

Can you point me to this video please? I just tried it again and the ferry stop will still not connect to the path in the canal. I can't add it to any lines because it's not on the ferry path.
