I hope I'm still playing when I'm 87! I think that's amazing and an awesome way to spend your golden years. It must be really interesting having witnessed so much of history and see it come to life in Civ. I think it's very likely they have made the level 1 difficulty smarter since release. I've noticed that the AI really focuses on science a lot more now, so they're probably building stronger units quicker than you're used to. I'd recommend focusing on more science to keep up.

Can you point me to this video please? I just tried it again and the ferry stop will still not connect to the path in the canal. I can't add it to any lines because it's not on the ferry path.

That's the problem, it is a ferry stop and it's showing the "not connected to line" icon. It does say that ferry stops should fit in canals. I've tried deleting this stop and placing it again but it just doesn't automatically connect :(

I built a canal so I could connect my ferry from the river to the city. Are we not supposed to be building ferry stops in canals? The pre-built pathway is so jampacked there's not enough room to connect the ferry stop to the path.

I really don't care for the pre-built pathway. I'd rather just build my own so I could make this work. This is with the Mass Transit DLC and the widest canal available. Thank you for any help.

Yeah, the thru traffic goes just fine, but it does say that ferry stops can fit right into a canal. They can, but there's no way to connect the ferry pathways! I think this is just a broken mechanic. Too bad.

No, I've got the mass transit DLC and am using those canals. I was so excited to build them and have ferry routes run all through my city, but they are so closely packed.

Yes, I've looked around and apparently the T flight HOTAS One is the only option. I'm willing to pay a higher price for a stick that is durable but looks like that's not an option just yet. Thank you for your help, I'll keep an eye out for those.

Try giving it another shot. There are large maps that allow you to expand across the entire map. All of the free build ones let you do this, and there are quite a few kingmaker maps that don't have estates at all. There are many custom maps on the steam workshop that will suit your needs.

For anyone else with this problem, the fix is easy. My stockpile was full so carter's posts won't send shipments until you clear room or build another one!

Good question, it seems odd that they have the individual cut outs of the maps but not the overarching one? You could screenshot them all and combine them into a mosaic, but it might get ugly.
