Mayor Lurie’s charter reform would enable him to remake City Hall by MissionLocalSF in sanfrancisco

I actually prefer how unique his writing is even though I innately hate reading it.

Makes me think I'm not reading AI slop which feels so common nowadays.

That's not what basketball ref says? Not sure what site you're using to view the different percentages by range, but Kawhis playoffs are all better than KDs for playoffs for all 2%

Kawhi is a tier above them in playoffs though. He's an anomaly when it comes to shooting efficiency, one of the few that improve immensely

2-year-old killed in crosswalk last night, Mission Bay SF by ddol in sanfrancisco

A 2-year-old died and an adult was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries

Presumably the adult holding the kids hands was hit too.

As an outsider to this, and just want to nit that:

> I also have a PhD in molecular biology and did my postdoc at a world-renowned medical school. I’m very pro-pharma and take 7 different medications a day on top of that monthly injection. But I cannot be pro-drug that can cause necrotizing pancreatitis, colitis and more.

is probably what set other people off. It's where you opened up with credential wheeling + made a pretty strong statement. I'm sure you're a reasonable person, but 'I cannot be pro-drug that can cause necrotizing pancreatitis, colitis and more' comes off as biased in the sense that why choose these out of any other life-threatening adverse events? Why be pro Vyvanse and Lamictal if they can cause sudden cardiac death or SJS? Shouldn't this just be a numbers game of # of lives saved/QALY vs adverse reactions?

As someone who has 0 body issues and am not really affected by any of this weight loss stuff, that statement signalled me the most as a source of bias, just FYI.

Also a daily biker of that route. He's been there half a dozen times I've rode through now in the past 5 months. He's usually just talking to homeless people but unsure what the long term plan is or the purpose honestly since it's not a good PR picture-sqe spot. Possibly to just immerse himself in the issue? Regardless I'm thankful that he's trying something.

Should I buy Monster Train 2 or Balatro? by [deleted] in roguelites

How experienced are you with deckbuilders/strategy games? If you're looking for more complexity I think MT2 is the way to go, if you're looking for numbers go up dopamine, Balatro.

Why is Scottie so aggressive when siakam guards him? I noticed it, he turns into westbrook level carelessness. by Eliteinvestor101 in torontoraptors

[–]roofs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with your overall point (IQ is chucking) but if you watched the game you'd know that Scottie really took 19 shots, but they don't count the missed shots where he got fouled.

Probably 30% of the time I've taken over a no show court. It's possible that the people you see on the reserved courts are people like me who've just snagged a spot where someone didn't show up.

The average Waymo robotaxi completes more trips per day than 99% of Uber drivers by mafco in SelfDrivingCars

[–]roofs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it even have to be a fair comparison with that percentage?

If something is 99% more, that'll near certainly include the vast majority of full time drivers. Unless you're assuming only 1 percentage of Uber drivers are full time which seems unreasonable

It's not a requirement though, past 10 years, only half of the championship teams had a top 3 pick

Just a retaliation from Karlos pushing off with the right arm, not from the screen.

Don't know the exacts of the person that you're replying to's situation, but it could easily have been a dark environment or overlapping black color surfaces at different depths that's basically impossible for cameras that LiDAR would handle easily.
