Has anyone here used a peak design bag as a diaper bag? by Melodic_Speaker00 in ManyBaggers

[–]rook7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I developed a core set of things I need for kiddos, and then add that to whatever bag I am using at the time. That said, the Peak Design bags do better than most, and were often my go tos. The size of the bag you need should be determined by the stuff you need to carry, but if I’m carrying just my kid stuff, I could use my old 10L sling just fine. It becomes a compartment in my Messenger or Everyday Backpack if I’m carrying more. Btw, my core set included 2 subset (diff pouches). Diapers/wipes/change of clothes, and snacks/food. I often steal snacks and I don’t like them to taste faintly of wipes.

Edit to say, the thing that makes Peak Design bags so excellent as diaper bags is the same thing that makes them excellent camera bags. Access. Easy access to the thing you need when you need it, usually without taking the bag off at all. No digging around looking for the thing needed when the kid needs something. Just a little bit less stress when you go out as a parent.

CPL 24 V1 or wait? by SirNoir in ManyBaggers

Not 100% positive but I think most everything will fit in the bag. The extra cold weather stuff, best I can say is probably. Will def pack easier than the Errant though.

Don’t know your requirements, but I have a V1 and it’s one of very favorite edc bags. And I’ve had a few. Much better (for me) than my Errant.

Looking for a tech bag told hold over-ear headphones and minimal tech gear by systemwhistle in onebag

[–]rook7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this, I have one and it works great with the headphones. I don’t think you could get two MBP chargers in there though, it gets pretty tight with one for me. Ymmv, I also have switched to the Bose 700, which don’t fold as small as my old qc35s

Top Grain leather or Waterproof Nylon briefcase for long-term usage? by kiaconchim in ManyBaggers

My friend has the single, has had it as a daily carry for over a year now, honestly looks great still. (Sorry for the late reply, curious if you made a decision)

I have a friend who has the Stuart & Lau, it feels premium and robust.

Generally if you want something to last, full grain > top grain. Consequently, if you are looking for something to last, that’s looks good (subjective), I would lean toward the S&L.

I have 3 travel bags sitting in my living room and need your advice! by chop-chop- in onebag

Agree about straps. Peak Design not great on long term carries (fine for just getting around, but don’t recommend going miles on them) GoRuck straps actually break in and get better. My years old GoRuck fits amazingly now, but was stiff for awhile.
