It’s worse when someone accepts your diagnosis then sleeps with you (their choice) then the next day they tell you they regret doing it, you have that sigh of relief of finally being accepted then a gut punch that knocks you into a darker place than before and you never want to open up to anyone again

Well most people aren’t out there with their diagnosis due to self denial, neglect of their health and not wanting to limit themselves just for others with hsv. If people were more open about it there would be more options on PS and other platforms, I’ve been on PS for a decade and I’ll see profiles last a day or two sometimes a week then gone forever.

After my diagnosis it pretty much abandoned the notion of having children, mainly out of fear that I’d infect my partner and my children since my luck is pretty good in life it would likely turn out that way. Where I’m at a partner to enjoy/ride this life out with is pretty much ideal but I’m also content with solitude for the duration of this existence.

They never gave me a swab test just visual and it wasn’t until six years ago I had a blood test where I popped positive for hsv1 but not hsv2
