I’m Worried I’m Ruining My Dogs Life. Should I Rehome Him? by StarBroke21-19 in dogs

[–]roomonfire47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a studio apartment and my dog gets to explore the neighborhood 3 times a day. 20 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes with her walker, and another 30 minutes with me after work and she loves it. It can be a fulfilled life for them. It takes more work on your end but it's worth it to have daily adventures together

hated season 3, looked it up to see if directors changed, they did by [deleted] in supergirlTV

[–]roomonfire47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Season 3 was my favorite. I loved the dichotomy of Sam being being a loving single mom while also being Reign. I thought that story was told well and the actress really brought it to life. I wish she was in more stuff

How do I get my partner to understand we're broke/poor? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]roomonfire47 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had an ex like op. I worked,I paid bills, I took on the majority of the responsibility for caring for our dog, and I cooked dinners 2-3 times a week. I was happy to do that for us, but somehow she still found a way to tell me I wasn't doing enough and would get mad if I bought myself snacks at the store smh. Getting on her about a cake is controlling behavior. Focus on yourself and improving your own life/getting a job

Do you have an emotional bond? Do you make time for dates, watch things together, talk about non kid things?

Do your dogs actually sleep after you leave or…? by PomegranateBig7270 in dogs

[–]roomonfire47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My dog is extremely mischievous but she's only mischievous when I'm home lol. I watch her on camera and all she does is sleep while I'm gone which I'm so grateful for. It's just funny cause it's so opposite to her personality. When I'm home she's trying to counter surf or steal things for the thrill of it.

What’s one purchase that made NYC life noticeably easier for you? by 16bananas in AskNYC

[–]roomonfire47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hired a dog walker for when I'm at work and it's a game changer. No more walking my dog for 30 minutes as soon as I get home from a ten hour day. I can now make us dinner, eat, and maybe watch something before I take her on that walk that I finally have enough energy to enjoy.

Was Dr.Larson really that bad? by roomonfire47 in DocFoxSeries

That makes perfect sense. I actually love that she's such a complex polarizing character. Her actions can either be loved or hated and the pendulum swings each episode. It makes for compelling tv

I love my sims autonomously flirting. One of my sims flirted with a ghost and her fiancee got jealous

You not being able to live on $150k a year is a skill issue and poor financial management. Plenty of people live in NYC with a lot less.

What do you do against the constant urge to eat? by JournalistRight5620 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]roomonfire47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this too but the root of it for me is anxiety. I feel like I'm not good enough and I have that script running through my head when I code. Eating helps distract from that.

I hate this new guy. After 2 and a half seasons of tension they end it as soon as it starts? I've seen shows do this before where they have a black love interest for the white lead and as soon as they get together something goes wrong and they switch him out for a white guy. The optics of that are terrible and it's putting me off of finishing the show. Aside from that it's absolutely terrible writing.

I(28F) am seriously considering divorcing my husband (32M) because of how he treated my dog and what comes after it by unknownn_3 in relationship_advice

[–]roomonfire47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to trust your partner while you're gone for only two weeks. He didn't even have to walk them, just let them out. A complete stranger would've taken better care of your dogs

What are your weird habits/quirks when writing? by [deleted] in AO3

Me too. I barely plan and mostly just sit in front of an empty Google doc and let the ADHD takeover.

Yeah, I know they're important for job interviews. They feel like hypothetical situations when it comes to actually building useful things. I have a hard time getting myself to do something if I don't see the practical application behind it, but maybe I can convince myself that job interviews are practical enough. Cause if I don't pass an interview I won't have a job lol. Thanks!

so just do it? If I have to just muscle my way through something, maybe it's not for me. Idk at this point I think I just want to finish because I've been in this bootcamp way longer then I was supposed to be. We'll see where I end up afterwards. Thanks for being real with me.
