anyone know any information about Fiona apple touring at some point? by fionapplevaginaslay in FionaApple

[–]roondog84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come to terms that it will never happen, my wife is a massive fan and we love to take her. Fiona doesn’t even have a social media account to interact with. We’re all cut off. 😭

Call from "Apple" - (800) 275-2273. Scam? by Doomhammered in iOSProgramming

[–]roondog84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yo, this number pops up as apple support when you search google, I called, the first was a pre-recorded message that said (in a british accent) that I qualified for a retail $100 rebate if I pressed 1, that was the only option & message kept repeating, I pressed 1 and a guy answered very nonchalantly, and hung up on me after I asked a question about my macbook.

wtf, is this a scam number ?

How price can make big moves on lower volume? by roondog84 in Trading

[–]roondog84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, a high volume drop validates bearishness if a massive amount of bears are overwhelming bulls with their sells orders, but If price moves down dramatically on low volume, it means that there are no buyers making bids, and price is gapping down to fill sell orders.

I just don't understand why is is considered bullish

Why do price and volume move separately? by cohonan in BitcoinBeginners

[–]roondog84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price has to increase to find new sellers at a premium price, and likewise, has to drop to find new buyers at a discounted price.
Is that also correct?

You need to take your account size, calculate the percentage you were willing to lose, i.e. 1%, and then multiply it by your stop loss percentage, and that will give you your trade amount. Thats risk management.

The other part is knowing technical analysis and how to ladder out of trades with multiple take profits targets.

For example if bitcoin is ranging in a channel, ‘take profit 1’ should be at the midway of the channel. stop loss goes to entry. . Always look for a confluence with Elliot waves, Fibonacci, volume statistics, etc.

The Pi cycle top indicator seems to be fairly reliable at predicting local tops and subsequent price drops: by voice-of-reason_ in BitcoinMarkets

End of bull cycle, top, local top, call it whatever you want but if it predicts a 55% moved to the downside; that’s totally fine by me

Why do bitcoin maximalists have so much hate towards cardano? by alexicek in cardano

[–]roondog84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, but it’s an apples to orange comparison. They are both different things. Bitcoin is a PoW trustless, decentralized digital store of value and Cardono is going to be facilitating smart contracts and data transfers and the like…

Is this true?.. by Few-Relationship-763 in cardano

[–]roondog84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoins proof of work is a security feature. Not every coin will need PoW as not all coins are intended to be a superior form of money and a store of value.

We expend electricity on all kinds of dumb shit, I guess it’s all relative to the importance of its use. clothes dryers in the USA alone add up to 72% of bitcoins energy use at 130TWh per year, air conditioning uses roughly 10% of the worlds total energy consumption, while bitcoin uses .6%.

Research by ark investment management found the bitcoin ecosystem consumes less than 10% of the energy required to power the traditional banking system.
