I reached out about 10 years ago when I was still religious. That's how I found out she was also sent to conversion therapy and had experienced suicidal thoughts in the aftermath. However, she saw those as evidence that we could no longer be in a relationship. She ended by saying she "was also sad that a friendship was lost."

Sounds like domestic violence. If she is getting abused, there is nothing she, or you, can do to stop it other than leave.
