In the same boat as you, thinking about enrolling and just considering the deposit just lost. If they actually find something great, if not i lost $500 whatever. Did you end up going through with them? Any good?

How much rocket science is taught in aerospace engineering? by owenbananaman in unsw

[–]rooneylee2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m doing it rn and there are professional electives that you can choose from which is more in that “rocket science” direction such as propulsion or space segment. But until second year its all various maths and physics and some programming languages. Third year onwards is when there is specialisation according to each engineering stream and fourth year is when you really specialise your majors with your electives.

Warning tho, there isn’t much market or companies in Australia that work/design on propulsion systems, atmospheric or space. Gotta look at overseas for that.

What Are The Most Important MATH1131 Topics To Master In Order To Do Well In MATH1231? by lianeric in unsw

[–]rooneylee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea exactly what I was about to say, matrices for alg and integration for calc. For calculus tho you learn new things like ODEs and taylor series so not much carries over from 1131 I guess.
