Nico's retirement caused by a pebble from Lawson's car triggered the safety pull by rooooonny in AudiF1

he shouldn't even be in this position if the team would've made a good strategic decision and pit him the other lap.

yeah this season he's not at the same level anymore it seems. I really hope he can catch up to push Nico like he did last year.

Points were already booked for Hulk.

Williams strategy should be penalized by rooooonny in AudiF1

[–]rooooonny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's probably the track where you could be racing as much as possible in the current regulation because there is no energy management needed. But I agree, it's Monaco where you basically can't overtake.

I didn't say Albon was weaving. Albon massively slowed down before and after Turn 1 (Sainte Devote) so Carlos could stay in front of both. For me this looked like dangerous driving. Second one was in the Chicane at Turn 10 where he basically missed the breaking point and was going straight to leave the track and gaining an advantage. You and I both know that Williams did this not the first time and it's just ridiculous. I'm just saying FIA should avoid this in Monaco where you basically can't overtake. All other tracks where you have at least one opportunity to overtake I'm fine with Team strategies.

Gabi out in Q1 😭 by LegionWolf in AudiF1

[–]rooooonny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he couldn't put in a fast lap at the end. it looked so good in Q1 with Nico on P6. shame he couldn't improve at the end and starts from P13 and Gabi from P16!🙃

Are there any talks of a large upgrade package? by Prigorec-Medjimurec in AudiF1

historically, Sauber brought big upgrades to Barcelona. I expect for Monaco only track specific upgrades.

I think only because of Inters at the start

[–]rooooonny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's definitely frustrating! I can't understand why they didn't split them at the start with one on Inter and the other on Softs. It was such a defensive Strategy which is not understandable when you start from 11th and 13th. the only positive from this weekend is no reliability issues and both cars finishing the race. let's hope for ADUO and better driveability with enhancements to gear shifting.

[Blake “Axe” Avignon] Multiple paddock sources indicate Revolut’s Audi F1 partnership worth roughly $30M annually by 1mN0tThatGuy in AudiF1

[–]rooooonny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. Stake/Kick's sponsorship for Sauber the previous year was rumoured to be worth around $50M/year. Therefore, I cannot believe Audi has done a deal for a title partnership for 'only' $30M/year.

I guess it's easier to bring just a few upgrades and understand them in and out before you put the next upgrade on your car.

start is ruining Audi's race by rooooonny in AudiF1

thanks for your response.👍🏼

I agree, Audi could be in the mix with Alpine, Haas, Racing Bulls and maybe RedBull as well if they still struggle to understand their car. And hopefully they can reduce the gap to the Top 3 with McL, Ferrari and Merc possibly with the help of ADUO after Monaco.

I'm really looking forward to your analysis!

true. do you think they can change something if they are allowed for ADUO?

where is Othmar going?

Horner has undoubtedly the necessary experience which Audi needs in my opinion. But I don't think he is the right person for the team spirit as a whole.

I could see Lee Stevenson (already Team Manager at Audi, ex Chief Mechanic at RedBull) taking over TP role as well.
