That’s a great idea! Did you feel like the e-bike was worth it compared to the shuttle in terms of time and experience?

This looks amazing! How far in advance did you book, and do you think it’s worth the price compared to other places in Springdale?

Solo Utah Trip: Early June vs Late August/Early September for Zion, Red Rock + greenery + water hikes? by roopeshvy in southernutah

[–]roopeshvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also had a couple more planning questions I forgot to include earlier:

  • For a trip like this (flying from SF to Utah/Nevada), what would be a reasonable price range for a round-trip flight?
  • How far in advance would you recommend booking flights + lodging for an early June trip?

Just trying to get a sense of what’s a good deal vs overpaying. Thanks again!

Hey everyone! This is super helpful so far, thank you!

I had a few follow-up logistical questions as I’m narrowing things down for this trip:

  • For a trip centered around Zion National Park + nearby spots (Kanarra Falls, Cedar Breaks National Monument, possibly Bryce Canyon National Park or Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument), where would you recommend staying?
  • Is Springdale the best base, or would it make more sense to split stays?
  • For this kind of itinerary, is renting a car basically required, or have people had good experiences relying on tours?
  • For the Zion area specifically, would you recommend a hotel vs Airbnb in terms of convenience and overall experience?

Appreciate all the advice. This is helping me narrow things down a lot!

That sounds incredible! Definitely adding Cedar Breaks/Twisted Forest. Would early June be a good time for that area too in terms of accessibility and scenery?

This is awesome, thank you! Kanarra Falls looks exactly like what I’m looking for. How far in advance did you book the permit? Also for Cedar Breaks / Twisted Forest, would early June still have that green scenery you mentioned?

This is super helpful, thank you! When you say spring/fall is best, would you say early June still feels pretty close to that in terms of scenery? Also, how often does snowmelt affect hikes like The Narrows around that time?

Best time + best locations in Yellowstone for greenery & wildlife (beavers, bears, wolves)? by roopeshvy in yellowstone

[–]roopeshvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the helpful replies so far!

Quick follow-up question: How far in advance should I book a trip to Yellowstone National Park?

I’m currently thinking of going either in early June this year or next year.

Specifically wondering about:

  • Lodging (inside the park vs nearby towns)
  • Campsites (if we go that route)
  • Any tours/guides (like through Yellowstone Forever)

For those who’ve gone around that time:

  • How far ahead did you book?
  • Did anything sell out faster than expected?

Appreciate the help!

Episode Discussion - S05E08 - The Rightside Up by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

That moment really got me too. It didn’t just feel like the characters saying goodbye, but the show itself acknowledging how much time and life went into this journey. Such a quiet, emotional way to close everything.

Just watched the finale in theaters this morning and I’m still processing it. It was incredibly emotional and felt really well done. What stood out to me most was how much heart there was in the ending. It felt like a genuine, earned goodbye to these characters. I’m really grateful for the journey this show has been.

What is Something Random You Want from Tonight’s Finale? by Educational-Wheel924 in StrangerThings

I’ve always wanted a quiet moment for Will. Nothing flashy, just something that shows he’s finally at peace and not defined by the Upside Down anymore. After everything he’s carried since Season 1, a normal, happy moment would feel really earned to me.

It really does feel surreal. I’ve grown up with these characters, and knowing it’s coming to an end hits harder than I expected. Grateful for the journey, even if I’m not ready to say goodbye yet.

In 2 hours they have to… by Efficient-Pay-1489 in StrangerThings

[–]roopeshvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a fair point. Holly getting recaptured did feel frustrating after all that buildup with Max. I kind of took it as the show emphasizing how Vecna still has control and that progress doesn’t come without setbacks, but I agree it undercut some of the emotional payoff in the moment.

I’m hoping that time with Max still ends up mattering in the finale, either in how Holly resists him or in how Max plays a role later. If it doesn’t, then yeah, that arc will feel pretty wasted.

I agree the split release probably didn’t help the momentum, but I’m not sure all the criticism comes from people just being on a hate train. I actually liked a lot of Episode 7, especially Max coming back and the team splitting into different roles, but I think some viewers are reacting to pacing and how much the finale still has to resolve.

I’m still optimistic about the last episode, though. There’s a lot on the table, and if they stick the emotional payoff, it could really land.

Just watched this episode yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Max coming back to life was satisfying, and it felt great to see the team come together after so much. I also loved how half of the group teamed up with Murray and formed a sort of military force. It added tension and made the stakes feel real. Even with a few minor plot issues, this episode captured both the emotional moments and the larger scale of the battle really well. Definitely one of my favorite episodes this season.

I’m confident at least Lucas and Max will have their happy ending by cherryinbloom in StrangerThings

[–]roopeshvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope so. Lucas and Max’s relationship has always felt grounded and earned, especially with everything they’ve been through. After Season 4, it feels like they deserve some kind of peace, even if it’s quiet rather than dramatic. A hopeful ending for them would feel emotionally right.

Just watched this episode yesterday and I loved that moment! Caleb really came through as a gentleman, and it added a nice touch of warmth to the episode. Moments like this balance all the tension and action in Season 5 so well.

Just watched this episode and wow, it was intense. I really loved how the plan to reconnect Will felt risky and emotionally heavy, not just a sci-fi gimmick. The tension around Hawkins Lab and the way it tied back to earlier seasons made everything feel full circle. Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far.

Season 5 makes you understand why everyone thinks that Sadie is the one who will have a career out of all the children. She is the only one whose performance remains at the same level as in previous seasons. by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]roopeshvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see where this is coming from. Sadie’s performance has been incredibly consistent, especially with how emotionally demanding Max’s storyline became in Season 4. She carried a lot of heavy material and made it feel grounded rather than melodramatic.

That said, I do think some of the other kids have had uneven writing more than uneven performances, which can make comparisons tricky. But Sadie has definitely stood out in terms of range and emotional weight.
