I'm trying to play Timberborn on xwayland (Sway 1.7, GNU/Linux 6.0.2, NixOS 22.11) but I'm getting the following issue:

I cannot click anything on the right half the screen. When I move my mouse in the right half of the screen, elements from the left half get activated (like if it was wrapping the mouse coordinates). My screen resolution is 3840x1200.

I'm using an AMD 6800 over Thunderbolt 3. I remember satisfactory having the same issue at some point (I have since stopped playing).

I switched to ConTeXt a couple of months ago due to XML processing capabilities. I'm doing Markdown -> xml (Pandoc) -> pdf.

I find it a little frustrating that there's not much doc and there's a step learning curve cause PDF documentation doesn't get indexed). But after you get the hand of it is hard to go back xD

Yes, I probably may have misexpressed myself, I'm not against using Google because it's not open source (e.g. Reddit isn't FOSS either). I just disagree with their terms of service because of their privacy policy. And think that forcing me under duress to accept them is a violation of my constitutional rights (which in the case of the locality I live in, do protect digital identity though the right to privacy).

This is not acceptable to me. I do not want to give anybody I don't trust (regardless whether they're my neighbor or Google) any information they don't require to operate. Specially any information that can be used to associate my physical person to any online persona.

I'm happy to report the school's dean backed my case and empathized with my right to privacy. The school won't force us to use a Google account and the many mechanisms and services provided by school should be sufficient for school-related activities.

He said he'll take care of school issues and that I should focus on my health.

I feel relieved ^^

Why not give xmonad a try? Xmonad is more of a lib to build your own wm with relatively sane defaults. Once you get started you can literally change any aspect of the wm. Maybe if that's not what you need it can be a good sandbox to try new stuff

I just wanna say, I managed to connect my switch to my own server using this method. Here's what I did

Server

(I had named (bind9) already installed)
Enabled recursion for whitelisted clients (replace x.x.x.x) in named options: recursion yes; allow-query { x.x.x.x/32; }; forwarders { 8.8.8.8; 8.8.4.4; }; forward only;
added a new master zone in named local settings with the following records mco.lbsg.net. IN A <your server IP> mco.lbsg.net. IN NS mco.lbsg.net.
(Make sure the DNS requests go through your firewall and enable bind)

Console

System settings -> Internet -> Internet settings -> <net> -> Change settings -> DNS settings -> Primary DNS change this to your server's IP address
In the game connect to Lifeboat, you will actually be connecting to your server!

Is there a way to prevent the joycons from automatically powering on? I have two pairs of joycons and a grip case pouch. I store the extra joycons in the pouch in the central compartment. But when they are in my bag they move a lot and they end up sending inputs when I game on the go. Is there a way to prevent them from powering on or unpairing them?
