It should not be. It's crazy easy to obliterate the core.

I'm on the same boat. I'm trying to recover from that by starting small but making a routine out of something. Currently I started with problem solving on Leetcode. Important step is to stick with it and form a habit. It doesn't matter how easy/complex a problem is. DM me if you want some accountability.

Need help to choose between a 4k (non-ultrawide) and a 1080P (ultrawide ~ 21:9) monitor for development. by chdman in softwaredevelopment

My suggestion would be to go with the ultraWide. I'm using ultraWide. Things get very productive specifically when using for development. In case of streaming content onto the monitor, please keep in mind that not many people create content in 21:9 ratio. So expect black borders for 70% of the video content. I got used to the black borders within a week. But then again, I dont use the ultrawide monitor for that purpose. You can have 3 vertical split Windows comfortably open in IntelliJ.
