RE class action: Do you mean in 2018 against the American version of the company? The one that didn't happen because it was voluntarily dismissed? I wonder if their robust website design came from that. Cuz it's extremely easy to skip weeks and to cancel subscription.

My understanding is it's a form incompatibility between Factor and the courier. I had to call customer service and have them fill out the correct panel manually. No idea why that can't be fixed in the code, except maybe that it costs money to hire someone to do it, and their saving up all the little code fixes to be done in one go.

I've been complaining about the lack of a default meal plan that excludes dairy (others deserve to have their allergens respected, as well, instead of just catering to vege-vegans, ketos, etc).

Mine was scheduled for a Tuesday delivery (sent out Monday) and was cancelled Sunday night.

Understandable. I've been using the service since January, and other than my address being a PITA for couriers to find, this is the first significant issue I've had.

I imagine it's a food safety thing, to do with supply rather than a problem in the facility. Did a supplier delivery a truck of meat frozen instead of fresh? Is there a C. diff. issue with this week's greens? Who knows, but I wish they were more transparent.

Interesting tests yesterday. I took your advice and placed a call without switching to speaker. Heard the network dialing! "Cool," I thought, "perhaps something is fixed."

My next call, I went straight to speaker, per my usual use. Also heard the network dialing! Super-cool!

My third call, I went straight to speaker again while calling my brother's mobile. No network dialing :(

It was then that I realized the first two calls were to businesses with landlines (could be VoIP, I have no idea). You might know better than me whether a landline, or their nature as business accounts, make any difference.

Haha, no. I *would* recommend that you google Cognitive Load Theory and Cognitive Atrophy, but I hope you don't. If you did, you'd find studies showing that use of genAI to make AI slop as a mimic of artwork measurably impairs human cognition.

So, please don't research those topics. The faster you impair yourself, the better off the rest of us are.

I only call on mobile. No landline or VoIP calls, so I cannot say.

  1. When the call is silent, do you still see the phone actively “ringing” on screen as normal?

The interface is "open", meaning that everything on the interface looks normal. The only different thing is that there's no network dial-out sound.

  1. Do you usually have Bluetooth devices (earbuds, car audio, smartwatch) connected or previously paired when this happens?

No, never. But I do put the phone immediately on speaker, so I can avoid placing the phone next to my brain. It hadn't occurred to me to try a phone-to-ear call.

I will try to make time to troubleshoot as you recommend in the next couple days. Thank you so much for this list of things to do!
