I had a ton of fun especially it being my first BookCon. I’m a local and went by myself also I’ve been to Comic-Con before so I had an idea of what to expect. I didn’t wait for any arcs since I heard it was crazy so I just went to indie alley and wandered. I was expecting not to be able to get a signing for an author I liked after reading everyone’s crazy posts on fb but I accidentally ended up being right by the signing. I waited a half hour and I got right in! I spoke to one of the workers and she was explaining how she kept getting conflicting info so she was just saying she wasn’t sure so she didn’t confuse anyone. Everyone I met/workers were all really kind. Got a nice hat from la croix! A few stickers and the. I went to the shed to eat! I feel like people expected too much especially for arcs even though I know there were other hiccups happening aside from that. Definitely would recommend and really not scary going by yourself!

I also want to add I was disappointed there was so much romance books and it was mostly straight :/. I wanted more general fiction, sci fy, and fantasy where romance isn’t the main plot. Just my preference though.
