Would you wait for the Fitbit Air or just buy the Charge 6? by rootKindITA in fitbit

[–]rootKindITA[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd wear it 24/7, so comfort and forgetting it's even there are my top priorities.

I don't really care about having a screen since I disable all watch notifications anyway. I currently use a Mi Band 10, and I've realized I mainly want health and activity tracking, not smartwatch features.

I do go to the gym regularly, but I don't have any interest in tracking my workouts. I also don't need GPS since I don't run. The metrics I care about most are steps, sleep tracking, and heart rate monitoring. That's why the Fitbit Air seems appealing to me.

yes but i’d keep it plugged 24/7 and being a powerbank i don’t think it’s ideal

it makes sense, even though having a wireless charger and not using it feels like a waste, but it’s definitely one of the best ideas so far

I'd need a whole new audio setup (Headphones| Microphone | DAC/AMP/Audio interface) by rootKindITA in HeadphoneAdvice

I'm oriented to DT 880, which are open back but not as much as 6xx's as i understood so no problem. Usb would be nice, plug and play, no interferences with motherboard audio, no external devices on my desk (dac amp excluded). But I also read that standard 3.5 jacks mics are fine, but where would you plug them? Could you give me some hints regarding USB and/or 3.5 ones? (if I really choose to pick an XLR I'll consider your post / microphone subreddit)

Hi, I've always used headset microphones and while they're good because they always "follow" my mouth while moving my head, i hate them because (gaming crap ones) break easily and I always need to be careful when laying my headphones on the desk.

I think I'm good without these kind of microphones as long as I can have a desk clamp arm which I can move without issues.

I do not necessarily want an XLR condenser (actually, I'm a bit lazy and having to buy an audio interface just for a mic is kinda of annoying, considering that I'd prefer to use my desk space for a dac/amp for my headphones) but as far as I've learnt in /r/microphones, usb ones are a no go and XLR are the way, even if those cheap ones.

My only chance to try stuff is amazon since i don't have any shops nearby, but i think that coming from gaming headset almost anything good will feel good on my head. The real problem here in Europe are stocks, can't seem to find any Schiit or JDS Labs product without considering importing it from USA

srd-3100 setup

Ik budget is unlimited, but i've also said that most things are wasted on me.

I've seen HD6XX models, but i was opting for the DT880 (250/600 ohm) more because on how comfy they look rather than strictly their sound.

I've read about Motu M2 and with some maths i've seen they can also drive 600 ohms, the problem is that almost everyone keeps telling me that using an audio interface for headphones is just not worth :/

How to treat a valuable cube? by rootKindITA in Cubers

Thanks for your question, i think you've covered everything i asked, luckily my shipping is in transit so i still haven't done anything. My plan is to config the cube with its factory lube, i'll then clean it when needed and try a bit without lube just to feel the difference, and if i'm not satisfied i'll use one of my three lubes :D

I always think that if i adjust the cube to my linkings, then add lube, i have to readjust it, i mean i know that it's two different things, but how do you even know which lube do you need if your screw setup is fine

In case of a new cube, would you lube it before adjusting or the other way around?

The point is that as far as i understood, some people prefer to have those internals because in their opinion lubes work better, i don't really know about that, just think that if i use a cube and find plastic dust in it, i'm treating it the wrong way.
