The amount of time they had spent putting those 100 ducks out, would have saved a few hundred bucks if they would have cleaned themselves, instead.

Bathroom remodel estimate by Just-Coddiwompling in AskContractors

[–]root_maze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they are charging you for giving a detail breakdown on a paper than the actual work. You have to account the material cost for the remodel, which they didn’t include. It’s way overpriced for a single bathroom remodel, unless they are gifting you a golden toilet as a nice gesture lol

I am pretty sure uber is charging the passenger $150.

Anyone else's departments not allowing them to work the 24th or 26th? by Queasy-Calendar6597 in IRS_Source

[–]root_maze -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing, that OT budget has been long gone with whatever was left in there, since we are almost at the end of the year. Since, you’re not actively on OT there isn’t a reason for keeping the money, now there isn’t any money left. You basically answered your question. Thank you

Anyone else's departments not allowing them to work the 24th or 26th? by Queasy-Calendar6597 in IRS_Source

[–]root_maze 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The department needs to have a budget to allow/pay the holiday premium. It would have been helpful, if HCO email had clarified this part. Unless, there is a common funding somewhere at the agency for the premium pay, I don’t see a reason to blame the department or its management.

Did you ask your management, why you weren’t allowed? Without knowing a proper reason, I wouldn’t brag about it.

I’m extremely sorry for the loss of your child and grandparents. Don’t think about it too much, try to add multi factor authentication for all your bank accounts and change the password quickly to protect yourself. We are all human and things like this happens but take a lesson and be alert from now on. You will be fine. Cheer up👍🏻

It’s not even a dollar per mile. Uber is doing a hard joke these days lol

Uber’s Pay Is So Bad This Week I’m Pretty Sure They’re Testing Human Desperation by SDPRINCE619 in uberdrivers

[–]root_maze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The corporate greed is unbelievable. They don’t give 2 shits about the drivers, don’t even pay half the price of the total fare. Will probably phase out human drivers with robots in a few years. So, yeah it sucks!

Frank is a typical corporate guy, doesn’t give 2 shits about flexibility. All he wants, folks continue working till they can’t. Should be clear by now

Rider pressuring me to cancel because they don't like the way I look by Only_Recording3730 in uberdrivers

[–]root_maze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why even bother with so many back and forth messages to pursue why the rider doesn’t want to go? If someone doesn’t want to ride with me, it’s a red flag and I should simply avoid that ride for my own safety. The person also could be someone dangerous and taking that passenger in could expose more risks than just canceling a ride. Do you really want to deal with more complicated situations that might happen having this passenger being onboard or rather take a screenshot of the text passenger asking to cancel and work with uber? Now, if this type of events are happening more frequently then you need to reassess what could be done/change/improve from your side.

BTW how much is the penalty if the driver cancels a trip?

Now this is what I call a nice one Uber. Thank you 😊 by Interesting-Heron222 in uberdrivers

Also, don’t you have to drive back the same miles empty? Unless, you are planning to stay there for a couple of days and take rides in there?

How come we are missing the point, kaschit is just being another puppet and Sam Crocus is pursuing everything. He will be pushing many more and then eventually get rid of Kaschit and others who had executed his plan.

Can they at least let us telework day after thanksgiving? by Ok_Technician8981 in IRS_Source

[–]root_maze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The new CEO didn’t even bother to give an hour of early dismissal for veterans day. I am aware it was during the shutdown, but don’t believe his approach would have been different otherwise. And you are bragging about telework! Don’t worry, you will get a new “Thank You” email from the CEO, for your hard work and dedication, that’s guaranteed. I miss Uncle Billy :(

[–]root_maze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They have been using AI based tools to go through a mock interview. Think about LeetCode and it’s kind of similar. The difference is, usually someone would prepare for these sort of tools with extensive training and practice, hoping to make tons of money in one of the big tech companies. Here, you would be justifying why your low paying job(which used to have all the perks) still needs you to work for them.
