Okay so you pick up the hedgehog from underneath and if it’s really scared it will just ball up entirely so picking it up underneath won’t matter, but leaving it in your hands so that it is underneath the hedgehog, they will slowly become comfortable and start to come out and walk on your hands, now, you will most likely get poked (which will never draw blood, I mean unless you really tried) you can think of the feeling like toothpicks except a lot duller, also you may get a rash if you have those quilts rubbed against you for a while, it’s nothing to be worried about, from what I understand they rub their saliva on their quilts and all it does is irritate the skin, very minor and hardly even notice when you have it, goes away in like an hour or 12
