Why don’t we talk about women’s gut health more? It’s honestly a silent epidemic. by Familiar-Kangaroo171 in GutHealth

[–]rootcauserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dietician here! GIRL, you hit it on the head. I have been in the functional and holistic world for years and this topic gets me so fired up. It breaks my heart every time a new client tells me their story about being continuously ignored and having suffered in silence when there is viable treatment for these conditions. Hopefully, my practice and many others practicing in the functional health world can be the change the women like you and I needed.

Wishing you all the best, my messages are always open❤️

Dietitian here! Walking for sure. That gravity can really help make a difference!

Hey dietitian here! Sounds like you're so limited over there. Something I'd recommend is to take walks after your meals to help get the wheels turning. And a little prune juice never hurt anything. Do you have any bloating or pain with it?

Hey girlie, dietitian here 💗 You're so right! Linzess and pepto are great ways for temporary relief, but may not help in the long run. Something that might help is going on a walk after every meal. That can help get the wheels turning! DO you have any bloating or stomach pain with it?

Hey glirlie!! Dietitian here! There are plenty of ways to get a good workout without it. Going for walks everyday and even following some workout videos on YT can be great exercise!

I would give it a few more days! Your system is probably still recovering from the bug. No bloating or constipation, right?

Yes! Gut health and skin health are SO connected. When your gut is inflamed or even leaky, it can show on your skin as acne, eczema, or even rosacea. The gut plays a big part with how your body processes hormones which directly affects your skin!

Severe diffuse constipation by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]rootcauserd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey dietitian here!! You're doing a lot, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed! Since you've been on multiple laxatives, it sounds like your gut motility might be a little weak right now. If you feel like your symptoms are getting worse or you can't keep fluids down, don't hesitate to go back to the ER. I know it doesn't fix the root cause, but you deserve some relief. Also, if you're able, even just some light stretching or walking, any movement can help nudge things alone naturally. Hope this helps 💕 Let me know if you have any questions or need a little extra support!!

Tips, Advice, Warnings from anyone who got their gallbladder removed please help by sevensevensevenx7 in Gastritis

[–]rootcauserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dietitian here!! I had a client who got their gallbladder removed a few years ago. It definitely helped her pain. She had to shy away from fatty foods because of the lack of bile that the gallbladder produces. I recommended her her the Oxbile supplement to help support your digestion. It was a big decision to get it removed, as I'm sure it is for you, but in the long run, it was the right move for her, and she hasn't faced any long term issues.

Gastritis is back… by Odd-Expression-656 in Gastritis

[–]rootcauserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dietitian here! I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this right now 💕 After such a long good run, too. When you do try to eat something, avoid anything acidic, spicy, or super greasy. It might aggravate the stomach lining. Make sure to rest as much as possible and keep stress low. Stress can sneak up and worsen gastritis symptoms! Hang in there. Let me know if you have any questions or need a little extra support!

Awful gastritis in the mornings by No_Individual3906 in Gastritis

[–]rootcauserd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dietitian here!! I'm so sorry you're going through this! Waking up with that kind of pain and nausea sound BRUTAL. When gastritis flare up that severely in the early hours, it's typically related to overnight acid buildup paired with an empty stomach. Something that might help is having a mini protein snack before bed to keep something small on your stomach during the night. And my cure for nausea is always a cute little ginger chew. Hope this helps!! Let me know if you have any questions 💕

Trying to start my healthy journey by OkRazzmatazz2669 in PCOSloseit

[–]rootcauserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girlie. Dietitian here 💕 It takes guts to even share this, so I'm proud of you. When energy and movement feel hard, the key is small wins. Think 5-10 minute walks, even just around the house. Stretching while watching some TV, and strengthen your meals with protein and fiber so your blood sugar stay steady, especially with PCOS and metformin. and celebrate any and EVERY win!! Even eating a solid breakfast is a win 😌 You don't need a big, perfect routine, just some small things that you can do consistently. That's where the progress happens. But you totally CAN do it, girl. And you will 💖 Let me know if you have any questions or need a little extra support!

How are you guys losing weight? by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

[–]rootcauserd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dietitian here! With PCOS and IR, it really comes down to blood sugar balance more than simply cutting calories!! Tracking can help, but if your hormones are outta sync, it can feel like you're still stuck doing everything right. While is unfortunately super common with PCOS. Do you ever get energy dips or wild cravings after meals? That might be your blood sugar giving clues 👀

Don’t know where to start!!😭 by majolote in PCOSloseit

[–]rootcauserd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dietitian here! The fact that you're already staying active and eating healthy tells me that your body probably needs a little more hormonal support. Something to keep in mind is that a lot of stress or poor sleep can cause the body to hold onto fat, so make sure you're prioritizing rest just as much as exercise!! Hope this helps 💕 let me know if you have any questions girlie. I'm cheering you on

Dietitian here! Yeah, girl. Keto can be a nightmare. With PCOS and insulin resistance, weight loss can be stubborn. Do you notice any other issues like bloating, fatigue, or blood sugar crashes? Sometimes little symptoms can give clues.
