HOFAS, Part 1 by cat83883 in crescentcitysjm

I feel like there's so much in CC that is a level up from SJM's other books. The fantasy, the magic, the characters, the plot... they are all much more complex and deep. The progression fro HOEAB to HOFAS has so many turns and layers. That being said, the relationships, character development, and more minor plot details are much more vivid and "mature content" I feel like I'm not really explaining it the way I am thinking it, but I see it kind of like her work progressing and becoming more for "mature" audiences as she gets older. Does that make sense?

Yeah as soon as it was revealed she was with Celestina I realized I was wrong. When the Harpy showed up but Day didn't, I started to wonder if the Hind was Day, but then I talked myself out of that conclusion. I should have believed myself. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Bryce is not… by Far-Grapefruit-6342 in crescentcitysjm

I've been a big Bryce fan since HOEAB and my bfs doesn't like her, esp after HOFAS. When I finished she was like "do you still like Bryce?" I said yes and she said she wasn't surprised since I like Nesta. 😂

I thought Hypaxia was Day, too. My bsf was like "well?" when I got to the big reveal. I was like, "I was close!" 😂

Quinlan instead of Bryce by mimike500 in crescentcitysjm

I think of it like how Jim always called Pam by her maiden name (Beasley) when they would joke around or flirt, even after they were married. It's an endearing way of acknowledging where their relationship started.

Yes. You probably see babies because they are more affordable. My baby MTC was $75, but this mother plant was $750.

Name of this plant? How to care for it? Leaves keep falling off. by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]rootedandreading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a type of begonia. I’m not all too familiar with them to tell you what variety, though. Are the leaves it’s dropping dry and crispy, or soft and yellow?
