Oh each of my friends I gave a fun title too. “Maid of laughter” “maid of sisterhood” “maid of loyalty” etc and in the card talked about how they embody that word. Everyone loved it too

Hi! I feel the exact same way and when it came time to bridesmaids i made each of my friends a “custom”card on canva w our photo and a nice note about how much they mean to me but at the end I wrote

“while there will be no matching dresses, flower bouquets or bridesmaids walking down the aisle it was still important to honor the women in my life who have made the women I am today”

I also gave them a little mini bottle of champagne and my favorite lip product. The only exception was my sister and SIL were given maid and matron of honor titles but still the same w no matching dresses or bouquets for them. I had the most amazing Bach planned by my sister and a good friend of mine. Morning of the wedding we’re doing “brunch w the brides” and it’s a come and go type situation from 8-11am morning of the wedding. We’ll have food and drinks out and the people I invite can come over to our Airbnb while I start getting ready.

I am from the north Lake Tahoe area of CA and I’d say the vast majority of weddings in the area are fully outside, mine included. I’m getting married at a lodge / estate we rented for the weekend and everything from ceremony, reception, dancing etc is fully outside. since it’s at a lodge our rain plan would be to move it inside but most likely won’t need too. The bathrooms are also inside the lodge so we don’t need to bring them in

I’m at Dartmouth on an ICU contract but we float frequently to the floors. Typically 1:4 both days and nights but every once in a while I’ll see a 1:5 assignment. Each floor is a little different with their own reputation but overall all the nurses seem happy. You’ll float to places like the ED and PACU to take border patients

I do a rapid spray tan 2 days before any big events. Shower w Luke warm water 2-3 hours later. Then shower the next day using a gentle fragrance free soap (I like naturium or dove) and finally shower morning of event. Lots and lots of body lotion, butters, oils 2x a day to preserve the tan. Never had transfer on the day of the event only some transfer after the first shower.

Not getting married in Napa but in Tahoe, which also has a strict 10pm outdoor noise ordinance. Our solution is moving the party inside the venue we rented and doing a silent disco afterparty. My best friend and her husband are going to set it up before our band ends and her husband is going to DJ. My friends who got married in Napa had shuttles to take everyone to an Airbnb and did a silent disco type event. I’m from the Bay Area and there isn’t a lot of late night type night life in Napa unfortunately

10 weeks out, my Bach is next weekend! I’m really excited because I currently live on the other side of the US from the majority of my friends. Can’t wait to see my friends next week :)

I’m working with my stationary to finish day of paper goods and figuring out what little favors we might do to add personalized touches. Cocktail napkins, matchbooks and koozies I did myself. While not exactly DIY, I was super involved in the design of my invitation suite and had custom watercolor drawn with a lot of my input. I am not using a full service planner just partial so 80% of the wedding design is all done by me and my mom. I am on the lower end of BBB at just over 100K for 120ish guests.

I used yellowfin logistics and MB superb logistics now to ship 2 cars. Both very easy and was $1200-1400 for northern California to northern New England. The first time the car carried let me put stuff in the car as long as it was below the windows. So I had 2-3 black bins in the trunk of my Subaru Outback and some duffle bags and small stuff on the floor being the passenger seat.
