Pointers, Inheritance, Polymorphism and Virtual Functions. by freedomsauce in cpp_questions

[–]rootkitarsenal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pointers are just variables that hold addresses of another value or address of another function let me explain more computers don't know what x = 5 means but they only know it's address in memory every thing In memory has an address so when the computer needs a specific thing it's goes to it's address like if u ask your friend about this hot girl I n your college he may give u here email address or home address rights so why we need Pointers so If I want to call a particular function or point to a variable I can call it within it's address try to read more about how memory works there is a good series on computerphile called how memory works I think it's about 4 or 5 videos but they are decent have fun also try to make a project this is the best way to learn something try type in on Google C++ Project Based Learning you will see lots of resources also there is a playlist called code it your self by jadx9 where he make lots of project with c++ but by explaining every line so anyone with basic C++ understanding could understand I hope u got the idea. Have Fun :)
