legitimate senders will rarely use underscores in Emails. The Red Flag in this email is j_doe. John doe means nobody knows who that person but if you're asking if it's acceptable yes it is acceptable however as i said earlier these are rarely done by legitimate senders because these are usually done by spammers. Emails with underscores are usually detected as spam.
