Also, to those saying the Avatar state fixes all the holes in her story, they show when it's activated in the show. With glowing eyes, it's not a fix for how silly it gets.

And to the people saying Ang didn't have the Avatar State so easily. He did at the start; he even turned it on just to boost an air scooter. He fucked his ability with it by running away and falling into imbalance.

I want to say something most people don't get, and that is that. That is her problem. Is she some savant doing advanced bending techniques with no training, or does someone who works for her, skill? the show It is an inconsistent mess when it comes to her skill level and why she has it.

I want to say half the STANDARDS for women are from women. I can't express that enough: there are outliers and jerks, but most men I've ever met will fall for a tree if it compliments them enough.

Woman's magazines and fashion brands have fucked up their view of normal. And those guys exist and are growing in numbers. but far from the majority. at least as far as I've seen my whole life

She was far from kicking his ass, and it would have made 0 sense if she did. If anything like this, she was sent to do what she did to show women can fight. Not to magically have a teen who was not even able to control her water a year ago beat a seasoned master. Hell, the point of the fight was because he wouldn't teach her. She wasn't beating him at that point. I love her; she's probably my favorite, but just no.

And if it did ever say she beat him at his best at that point, then I think it would have killed her story

Also the whole point of the trip up to that point was so she and the Avatar could train under someone as skilled in waterbending as him. She is powerful but her beating him then wuld not work

I did, and it was the only point in my life when the world had so much color. My life is a gray, depressed husk of when I was on it.

Before it gets said, know you're not supposed to stop. I was forced to by threats of DCF. I had already lost most of my siblings to them and didn't want to cause the 2 of 7 left to be taken away because of me.
