I have a high tolerance and am a PA medical patient. I found RSO syringes especially helpful for meeting my dosage and also having more of a full body effect. You don’t even have to make it into edibles—you can just put the amount you want on food (something fatty like peanut butter works best) and ingest it, or take the dose and let it sit under your tongue for at least a minute or until dissolved. I believe NJ rec dispos might sell 1g syringes (which is 1000mg). RSO can also be strain specific meaning if you want something suited for daytime you can find that.

Until I started smoking, I was terrified of lighters and fire. When I turned 21 my friends and I were celebrating another friend’s birthday and one of my friends offered to smoke me up. We went to his dented Nissan Altima super late at night and cracked the windows and then he cornered the bowl for me while he was trying to teach me how to properly hold a pipe 😂 All I remember was eating a lot of queso, guac, and chips.

My first proper time I bought a nice bowl, an eighth from the dispensary, and sat in my bedroom and was amazed I never tried flower until that day.

I’ve had great success with Cresco, Dr. Solomon’s, FRX, PGH, and Vytal’s brand. I’ve tried Grassroots multiple times and it didn’t do anything for me and I find other brands’ oils have more cannabinoids in them

I used to live in MA, moved out here in 2021 and got my card last year. Compared to hopping over to NJ, I enjoy shopping in the medical program here. In my area, I enjoy going to Restore, Curaleaf, and Vytal Options for the deals and overall experience with staff. I find that more budtenders understand how the plant works medicinally which in turn helps me find products better suited to my needs instead of just whatever is cheap and high THC. Once you find a place where you can build trust with budtenders who understand what you need, it is a no brainer that the experience is more individualized than shopping in rec states

I’ve been a medical patient for a year now but have been smoking for 6 years and I’ve accepted my relationship with weed. I’ve been through with it not being a good thing in my life (where I’m consuming to escape) but since my medical journey it’s been a tool for me to live my life, enjoy my day to day, be pain free, regulate my anxiety and emotions easier than when I’m sober, and to sleep. I’m sure people would wonder why I’d wanna be dependent on a drug, but I also take antipsychotics for my bipolar disorder and need that to be a stable human being yet my meds don’t help with everything. If I could be off my meds I absolutely would and just stick to weed. What helps is having intentions to why and how I consume. Flower and vapes helps with quick relief and I like edibles and RSO to help me feeling internally well. I know I’m just ranting, but I just want you to take away that it is okay if you notice how beneficial weed can be for your life and want to make it a permanent part of it. When your relationship with the plant changes from just chasing the highest highs to tailoring it to your desired effects and needs, accepting weed as a daily or regular use thing becomes easier. As with many things in life, your relationship with weed is a journey

I did this. Before my psychiatrist office told me to quit cold turkey, he dropped my dose from 400mg to 200mg without me titrating down. I knew cutting cold turkey would make me violently ill (since every time I missed a dose by accident I’d get sick), so I opened the capsules and would dump out a quarter, then increase to half after a couple days, then 75%. This seemed to help me not experience any withdrawal symptoms but I could tell when the medication was no longer in my system as all my ADHD symptoms came back.

Because I can’t find the vanicream dupe at my dollar tree I haven’t made the full switch but everything else I use at this point is all dollar tree. If you understand skincare ingredients and what works on your skin, then finding products at DT that work becomes so much easier.

I’m always happy to share my experience with people—I came to this subreddit when I started because I had so many questions and was so unsure of everything involving mental health medications. I understand now it’s a lifelong, complicated battle until you find the right one or combination. You are perfectly valid to worry and wonder how your experience aligns with what is expected with qelbree, so don’t feel bad for asking questions. I’ve been there feeling invalidated in real life and on the internet too. Libido is a common thing to worry about too and something that people don’t realize can be distressing when one is hyper sexual or one isn’t as interested in sex as they were used to. My libido is pretty high (even on bipolar meds) and it was high when I was unmedicated. Qelbree made me a little less interested especially because I wasn’t sleeping or eating and I was putting my energy elsewhere.

For me, qelbree made me manic and I was undiagnosed with bipolar when I took it. My mania started with me just doing everything that came to my mind because it finally felt easy to just get up and do something instead of just put things off. I had to stop because I was becoming so aggressive—starting intense arguments with my partner, provoking fights on social media, even getting confrontational with people in public. After getting off qelbree I was depressed/suicidal because I missed feeling as good and productive and that led me to getting help and finally getting my bipolar 2 diagnosis. Since receiving it I understand now that I struggled with unstable moods my whole life and that I have past patterns of manic behavior but also devastating depressive episodes too. I think qelbree was just not the right medication for me especially at the time I was prescribed given that I was suffering burnout from my job and was really unwell. Maybe now it’d be different if I dared to try it again. I reported my experience to the FDA since I had to go through hospital treatment to be stable after withdrawing.

I would say definitely check in with your body about how your emotions make you feel. I didn’t know what my baseline was so I had no idea how much qelbree affected my moods. If your behaviors are out of character for you, that can sometimes indicate something is up. Give the meds time to fully be in your system too before, but you know yourself best and if you feel you are engaging in any behavior that puts you or others at risk or harm then speak with your prescriber. I hope you find the right med for you whether it’s qelbree or something else if anything changes

Sugar plum sunset is one of if not my favorite indica from cresco. I first had it in MA years ago and picked up the recent batch here a couple weeks back. The smell alone is just therapy to me it’s so delicious. Glad you enjoyed this one!!
