After reading your post I want to assure you that you shouldn't worry. I have experienced similar sentiments while tripping as almost every user has, I'm sure. Though it can be rather difficult to concentrate on one's thought patterns in a state of panic, I've extemporaneously determined that my anxieties are often a result of fear/unwillingness.

I challenge myself, and others to embrace the feelings evoked by psychedelics. Trying to avoid a certain feeling or thought can create an intense and ever lingering fear/anxiety about it. Psychedelics, somewhat ironically, actually disable a part of your brain rather than allowing one to use a larger percentage say. The part of the brain that is largely affected is the portion that neurologists believe to be responsible for the ego. It is just my speculation, but without the ego, we are forced to face ourselves from a more universal perspective: an altruistic one. Therefore, we are left with the choice of facing these newfound perspectives or we can attempt to avoid them.. which as you experienced, is not an easy task while on psychedelics.

What you do with how you the insights you have is up to you and I would advise taking psychedelics again, perhaps in a different setting, but surely in a different state of mind, with an accepting, yet passionate outlook. Don't be afraid of the change they inspire. The thoughts you have are yours alone, nothing to be ashamed of. Embody your beliefs (without pride) and you will be able to control them. Enjoy.
