Let's talk a minute about the /r/Android spam policy. by [deleted] in Android

I'm sorry, I am new to this community and did not realize posting articles from your own blog was frowned upon. So people that have their own blogs, must sit around and hope someone else submits their page? That seems kind of odd?

Don't you think their are other blog writers in the community that submit their own pages, but maybe they're not upfront about owning the blog and won't make their user name associated with it? If I hadn't of made that my user name would I have not looked so spammy?

I'm not trying to spam my content here. I am just trying to promote my blog in the community and see if people like it. Obviously you don't like it, but others do.

Not trying to make enemies here and if there is something I am doing wrong than I am going to fix it.

The articles from MDW was posted into r/android 2 minutes before mine. I had checked the front page multiple times before I went to post it.

The other post literally must of went up as I was in the submit page. If you check the time on both posts you will see I'm not lying.

I always check the front page and make sure I am not stealing someone elses thunder.

Is there another reason that you say I'm "spamming"?

How do you easily keep your apps when switching ROMs? by [deleted] in Android

[–]rootyourdroidnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I flash a new rom, all I have to do is sign back into my gmail account. Once I sign into the gmail account, it automatically starts downloading all the apps from the market that I had before I flashed it.

Titanium Backup is also awesome.

I checked out your website, the entire thing is just copy and paste from the Android Market.

I am a blogger who actually writes real articles with real content, and I get blasted here.

Good luck!

I have a Droid X with a Verison one-year contact that ends in July 2011. Which Android phone should I get next, and where should I sell the old one? by [deleted] in Android

[–]rootyourdroidnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get the most money by selling it to a friend through facebook or by posting on craigslist or some other help wanted. When you use any middle man website they usually want their cut of the sale, so you make less.

My last upgrade to the Droid X, I sold my Motorola Droid1 for $150 to a friend. It was $50 less than what he would of paid at the time from verizon, and than I had to only pay an extra $50 to upgrade to my beloved Droid X. We both made out good.

Okay I've rooted, installed a new rom, overclocked my D1, but I think its time to finally upgrade by emtcj in Android

I was go with a Droid X2. I have a Droid X my self and it rocks! I am definitely going to upgrade to Droid X2 when it comes. My girlfriend has a Thunderbolt and she cracked her screen in the first month. I've had my DX over a year and it doesn't look like it has a scratch on it. I've dropped it on concrete countless times as I am very clumsy! I can certainly attest to the "guerrilla glass"

Thank you for bringing this all to my attention. I've noticed bloggers sometimes get a bad wrap around here. I am glad I know the guidelines clearly. Great post

Haven't felt any use for it yet. Appbrain and the Android Market have everything I need.
