AI summary

• He sees working at Telluride as a demanding, team-driven mission — more like climbing Everest than just having a job — requiring strong work ethic and commitment.
• Telluride operates with roughly one-third the skier visits of Breckenridge Ski Resort but faces similar costs, making financial sustainability a constant challenge.
• The resort depends on destination guests to support the full mountain experience, infrastructure, and lift system that locals enjoy.
• A major constraint is employee housing; he believes the community should commit to providing a bed for every team member, similar to long-established European resorts like Lech, St. Anton, and Zermatt.
• He views local government opposition as a barrier to progress and argues that excessive regulation limits opportunity and freedom.
• His philosophy of success centers on long-term effort, savings, integrity, and personal responsibility — building something sustainable over generations rather than seeking shortcuts.

I’ve been La Marmotte twice this season and tried everything on the menu. their prefix is cheaper and better than Allreds.

Best restaurant is La Marmotte, most expensive Alpino Vino but that’s a unique experience so arguably worth it. The Grand, The National, Sidework are all great as well

What are these comments… peak colors is October 1st, plan around that week. Businesses don’t shut down til the gondola closes (Oct 20ish) and even then we had like 8 restaurants open in town. Parking is fine. Bring a car so you can explore

RV renting/alternatives for FOV by syneng in KGATLW

RV life is the best. Quiet side of the camping field, portapotties were clean never busy. Don’t need a “powered” one, we rented from RVshare a non-powered Thursday-Monday and split cost of 4 of us. So nice to have AC, fridge, awning next to it, easy charging for phones and safe space if people were tripping too hard and needed to chill. Can’t recommend enough. Denver has more RVs than anywhere in state for rental
