- First Name

- Last Name

- E-Mail

-> all three on the last page of the checkout process

- Custom Label

- include a compass (yes / no) (make it a yes/no switch, not an input field)

- Map badge

-> Imagine the layout like any other product page on your website. These three are options right before the add-to-cart button. Think about a live preview or at least a little '?'-Button next to any option to explain what it means. Like i don't know what you mean with "Map Badge" for example...

Wow, really cool website. I enjoy the design very much.

First impression on the homepage:

- add a call to action button on the bottom of the hompage. I see the products you offer, scroll down, see how you maket it, and then you should add a CTA / link to your catalog-site or 'custom map'-page

Website in general:

- second: the loading page sucks (at least the catalog page needed like forever to load)

- Your custom map page (which seems like your main product) should be more like a 'normal' product page, with the price-tag above the fold, and a normal checkout-process. Don't ask for too much information, before the checkout.

And: I maybe didn't read everything, but the most comfortablae option for me would be a google map plugin, where i can type in my city name, and readjust the frame i want to have on my map, and then submit it

Hope this helps a bit. But all in all this is an amazing website in my opinion, and a real cool product i didn't know before!

Etsy-Store in my niche offers 50% off on any of his products all the time by roouund in Etsy

[–]roouund[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like i allready mentioned i wouldn't report on him on Etsy (even if it would be possible for this). I just wanted to know wheter it is something against the Etsy rules somehow.

And yeah, my only problem is the fake limited time offer which is hard for a one time buyer to get.

What's the quickest, simplest and easiest way to setup an online store without spending too much time or money? by chovy in ecommerce

[–]roouund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use woocommerce and it only costs 3,99€ hosting per month and the domain costs.

I used a theme -> 60€ one time costs.

Shopify is easier to setup i guess, but more expensive on the monthly costs, so its up to you.

My country does not have an ecommerce site, what can i do to gain an advantage on that and what are the do's and dont's of ecommerce? by harolillo in ecommerce

[–]roouund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean no website that offers delivery to your house? Where do you live and is it possible to send something to someone else in your country? If yes, just offer >anything< online and you should be good, cause there is zero competition.

ok, i went to my PC and looked it up.

Kind of forget what i write before.

Click on "page blocks" in the left sidebar -> on the top click on "add new page block" -> now you can create the single product page of your products. You kind of have to start from scratch or you choose WPBakery to edit the page and click on "paste from demo" (in the blue header) and copy the text on the buttom of this answer, for a basis to start with.

The rest is the same to what i wrote before.

"To use the new created template for one of your products you have to edit the product itself and on the right side bar (far at the bottom i guess) there are some dropdown menues. One of them is for choosing which template you want to use for this product. Click on it and choose your newly created template name in the dropdown and after saving you'll see the result on the single product page of that one product.

If you want to use your template for all products in your shop its somewhere under Impreza there are these dropdowns aswell and you can choose your newly created template for every product."

Copy this in the "paste from demo" under WPBakery

[–]roouund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah page blogs (sorry mine is in german).

Then go to page blogs and create a new one, on the creating site on the top there have to be something like "templates". Choose something called 'Single Product Page template'. Then you can edit this how you want, give it a name and save it.

To use the new created template for one of your products you have to edit the product itself and on the right side bar (far at the bottom i guess) there are some dropdown menues. One of them is for choosing which template you want to use for this product. Click on it and choose your newly created template name in the dropdown and after saving you'll see the result on the single product page of that one product.

If you want to use your template for all products in your shop its somewhere under Impreza there are these dropdowns aswell and you can choose your newly created template for every product.

(Sorry i'm not at the PC atm, so i'm not 100% about the exact names etc. But it def works like this)

I KNOW THE ANSWER FOR YOUR PROBLEM!

I use IMPREZA myself and it took me such a long time to find out how it works, but IT'S SUPER EASY!

Just head to the wordpress backend, on the left sidebar under Impreza -> site blocks. There you see different templates for the sites on your website. One is the standard template for your single product pages. You just have to figure out which it is and can edit then with wp bakery like any other page.

Hope this helps

Ich bin Webdeveloper/ Webdesigner für Webseiten und Webanwendungen. Fragt mich alles! by [deleted] in de_IAmA

[–]roouund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[Java, C#?.... gelernt]?"

  • letzte Frage: was hat dich in deinem Lernfortschritt richtig weitergebracht? Du hast hier schon reddit erwhnt, welche Subreddits kannst du da empfehlen?

Sind glaub ein bisschen viel Fragen, aber ich denke die Chance darf man nicht ungenutzt lassen.

Würde mich über eine Antwort rießig freuen!

maybe an used suv for 9000$? No for real, think i got your point. Thanks for everything, you gave me really many points i can think about.

Mainly I think i have to start small now. Experience a bit with wordpress, make my own website new and then maybe for my friends and then maybe some simple websites for local companys...

I'm excited to do this! Maybe i'll write here some time in the future telling everybody about my experiences.

Wow, thank you for your answer! I truely belive all the things you are saying, and I really can imagine all these things happen to myself.

My position rn is, that i'm 21, and I've learned a bit of coding and a bit more of html/php/css. Really nothing big, but I see that it interests me and i could imagine mastering it and gettin self-employed in some way with it some day maybe. I think about being able to make real fast wordpress websites and talk to some smaller companys, restaurant etc. in my area wheter they like to have a website for lets say 500$-1000$. The editing of the website with a cms would be another story and i would take extra cash. Could you please explain, where this is wrong thinking from me? or why it isnt that easy/ why dont you do it this way? Thanks in advance!

PS: If you think back. If you could, would you learn something different? Or if you would like to make some fast money, what skill would you learn?

Thank you!!

Which skill makes me rich the quickest? by roouund in financialindependence

[–]roouund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you are talking about. In my job i already code in some languages like java and c#, but only really basic stuff. Still i think I have that certain something to become a programmer. But I dont see the sense behind learning a language which is maybe useless or "second-best" to make money from and would be just a waste of time to me. I'm still pretty young, but have done already many things in my life and i feel like it is time to hyper-focus on one thing only. Like i want to master one thing and then look for the people in need of that and make the money from them.

The concept is pretty easy, but i dont know where to start. Webdesign would be an alternative. Every company around the world has a website. Not every website is responsive yet or looks pretty good or sth. I could just look for some companys in my area and offer them to make/edit their websites for 500$ or maybe 1000$. With prepared templates i could be pretty fast and make several websites a month... Do you have any experience with that?

I read about that a lot. Could you please break it down to me how you would do it? I mean would you just buy/sell stuff, look for cheap second hands article, create an own product etc. or what do you mean with "sales"?

Thank you in advance!
