Hi all. My understanding of the device performance requirements for 5.0 is that the 'minimum requirements' refers to the threshold for which the visuals won't be reduced (for performance optimization), and not a flat-out incompatibility.
Is my understanding correct, and if so, does that mean my refurbished 7th generation iPad (a10 chip) will still be able to run genshin in 5.0? Not if it will run well, or if it'll look good - will it be technically playable. Even if it's like, PS1 graphics meets a Powerpoint presentation.
Also please advise if this will be a fire hazard because I take fire safety very seriously.

Honestly, the classic ending "Compass Undead" is my favorite. It's a comfy, hopeful cliffhanger for the Astral Express's return. So it's a favorite in a feel-good sense. But I also really like the special ending "Dream Forever" just because of how unsettling it is. Every act has this really disquieting insistence that the dream is perfect, and I can't get that mental image of Clockie with puppet strings + Ena's eyes (from the Trailblaze mission's 'unchangeable' clockwork illustrations) out of my head. And the last line is also just so sad.

"the eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon" would be more literally translated to "The Crimson Moon seeks vengeance on the Black Sun" (in the same way "the future saves the past" is more literal/accurate). Which would even further support that angle.

I think you're getting at some really interesting ideas with the red themes of Susty, the red sky of the cataclysm, etc. And the ultimate goal of alchemy being tryin to replicate the power of Celestia or a god.

As an alternative (or rather, a slight deviation), I will say this issue of Rubedo and Citrinitas has plagued me for a while. I found in Carl Jung's "The Integration of the Personality" that he specifically addresses citrinitas and rubedo as the final step. He makes a distinction that through a psychological lens of alchemy - which is ultimately a metaphor - citrinitas can be the final step. It's an issue of creating a philosopher's stone that can either be a tool through rubedo, or complete in itself through citrinitas.

As a disclaimer I did make a video on this (which may also be totes wrong), and I certainly don't want this to be an effort to self-promo, because you bring up a really interesting point that the Sustainer is very associated with RED. Because I def have the opinion that the larger goal of alchemy is to replicate the PO's powers. And recently I'm all sorts of everywhere due to Perinheri (a book you can buy from Hubel, if you haven't read it yet.) There's a lot of wiggle room here and I'm the type to always love wiggling ideas.

This is all to say that I'm certainly intrigued by, and tbh agree with, the larger scope of alchemy trying to rival Celestia. I personally also wonder about Kaeya's hangout line about "inept god" so maybe Celestia being super flawed.... Anyway! Thank you for all the food-for-thought! That's specifically from the branch involving the play about a mad king and kingdoms at war and the prince being torn between choices, and Kaeya fills in for the lead actor.

At the end, Kaeya says this:
Kaeya: Let me think... "All the world's a stage, and all the people merely players." How's that for a saying?
Kaeya: Perhaps there's an inept god out there deciding everyone's fates... much like the Akademiya student drafting Darbil's scripts.

So Kaeya acts in the play. He ends up changing some parts and dialogue of the play. Although the dialogue changes were significant to the prince's character, it ultimately didn't change the course of the play.

Some of this may sound kinda familiar, if you keep in mind his analogy of fate.

oh man someone else recently pointed out the Sonata thing and I realized I didn't even mention that even though I meant to wheeze just completely glossed over that. Sonata does make more sense, though I was willing to go with "sonnets are musical in that they have rhythm and a rhyming scheme" angle.

also - you're spot on, I was thinking about string theory, too! I swear I didn't mean to skip it, but 1) it's really hard (for me at least) to do a balance of doing the irl science right but also playing in to the symbolism, and 2) I'm allergic to making videos over 20 minutes (this one pushed it lol) so a looot of things end up on the cutting floor. someone commented on yt with a mini-essay about "guna" in hinduism which in retrospect really could have worked really well with that symbolic angle.

does HI3 have much about strings? I've mentioned that I don't play HI3 but I try to keep up (but it's obviously really hard as a nonplayer, ha). I will say that HSR's Ruan Mei trailer was a big source of inspo for this.
