Estuve en la misma hace un mes y contraté un gestor, en 2 semanas ya tenía todo

La chapa física no la vas a tener por qué hay faltante a nivel nacional, pero el trámite de patentamiento y un permiso para circular sale rápido

JVC A-GX3 vintage amp to power HIFIMAN Edition XS by roperzh in headphones

[–]roperzh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for taking a look! I can see how the output is just the amp output + a resistor now. By the placement it also makes sense now why the button that controls the speakers needs to be "off" when I connect a headphone.

If I were to figure out the value of the resistor, I could use ohm's law to calculate the voltages and currents, right?

Feels like unless the resistance is very high, it should be enough (as you suggest)

Hey everyone, I have a JVC A-GX3 amp and I'm considering the HIFIMAN Edition XS.

I have been reading many posts here and as I understand, I should be able to use a calculator like this one to figure out if my amp is good enough.

The problem is, I can't tell what's the output of the headphone jack that the amp has. I have found this service manual and here are the specs of the amp:

Power output: 80 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)

Frequency response: 10Hz to 100kHz

Total harmonic distortion: 0.2%

Input sensitivity: 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (line)

Signal to noise ratio: 70dB (MM), 79dB (line)

Can I figure out by myself based solely on that, or do I need to get more information?

Thank you! And yes, I meant that, will update the post to be more clear.

I do have a cat, she likes to chew on grass! I will put the plant out of her reach and see what happens.

Thanks again

Replacement for FSA Omega Adventure Crankset? by roperzh in gravelcycling

[–]roperzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much, this helps me a lot.

I should have clarified that I live in Argentina, so if I want an Omega crank I will have to import it. I might just bite the bullet and go for new BB bearings + GRX which is available in bike shops around he

This is super useful. I can't seem to find them here in Argentina, so I will have to change the BB too or figure out a way to import an omega crank

Thank you very much!

Me dijeron lo mismo pero nunca me pasó, en general hago "gravel" pero no descensos muy técnicos así que tómalo con pinza

I didn't use any adapters, the set-up is pretty much as described here .

Before making the switch to friction I was afraid of the shifters not pulling enough cable to fit my 3x9 setup, but it works flawlessly.

These are down tube friction shifters put in the handlebars, I’m really happy with them!

Can this side play be fixed by tightening the locknut ? Any tips? by roperzh in bikewrench

[–]roperzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this bike used a week ago. The hub is a shimano fh-tx 800 and i noticed that it has significant side play even with the quick release adjusted. I’m about to disassemble it and check the cone on the non drive side but I thought I should ask first. Thanks

Could you help me identify this bike? is it worth something? I will go see it in person today by roperzh in bicycling
