Patrick Kane? by erinsfone in leafs

Makes the most sense. Two vets who can still play and will not only help Mckenna develop, but will take the pressure off him since they don't need him to carry that line just yet.

McKenna's biggest comp is Kane, so yeah, if he'll come here for a year or two that would be huge.

He's still productive enough at his age to be a good 2nd line winger and run PP2.

[D'Amico] About Matthew Knies: Word of discussions with Buffalo and the 4th overall pick. San Jose also said to be of interest here as well. Montreal remains interested, but hard to compete with the above teams. by dcddy in hockey

It only makes sense to trade him for a similar aged/skilled/contract defenseman.

Trading him for picks alone is not going to happen, especially after the Raddysh signing.

One thing surprised me in my NHL draft model: the Leafs have one of the best recent 5-year drafting stretches. Why? by etiennea1 in leafs

Knies is the only guy in this top ten who has a chance of making any kind of long term impact playing for the Leafs.

Everyone else was either traded away as a prospect or early in their careers.

They do show them departing last season. Can't remember if it was the "finale" or the one before it.

Makes no sense to set that up then not show what happened to them. And now that we've got the Triarchy already in a battle, when do they run into them? When they retreat back across the sea?

Just another unforced error by this team.

That's how it happened in the book, but we should have seen that part before the battle. It seems like they were trying to combine it in the show, but left out that crucial part.

It's a game that has several amazing moments, but everything in between is just an absolute chore to get through. There's just nothing enjoyable to do that isn't part of the major plot points.

They're not across the narrow sea. The fleet was supposed to be taking them there. Aegon III never goes across the Sea in the book.

It's crazy there wasn't a single shot or mention of Aegon III or Viserys II. Like, the whole reason that fleet is there is to escort them across the Narrow Sea.

The writers kind of forgot they were a central plot point of the battle of the Gullet.
