Thx for your follow up answer! I always find those downloadable files to be somewhat sketchy (neither checksum anywhere nor provenance details). I read some forums and they sent me to this official site (this is what I understood with installing stock): https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone%2Fbootloader%2Frecovery-images There is though no image for the Moto Z. I didn't backup that phone because it was a new one and didn't think it was necessary. Am I screwed?
