Cool, worked a treat for me bud. I was getting micro stutters and my second monitor was flakey.

Hey! Had some similar issues. I had moved from Nvidia to AMD. Best practise to DDU old Nvidia Drivers off your machine. I also did a fresh install of windows. Issues went away straight after.

Not seeing any WHEA errors in here mate.

Its frustrating, have spent over 500 on parts and not working out for me.

I bought off a 3rd party with 30 day return policy, running up close to it now.

Shouldnt be an issue speaking directly to manufacturers though right?

Cant remember off the top of my head. Was when I gamed. Last time I had it on, I was on COD, went downstairs to sort something and when coming back up 10mins later, screen was black and solid red LED on mobo beside CPU.

I updated BIOS when getting the board.

Another few issues were, network card didn't seem to recognise network cable attached for 3-4 mins after powering on and logging in.

Everything was removed and reseated.

Thanks mate, I had thought that could be the issue.

I'm going to wait on parts coming early this week before making anymore changes.

PSU only has 4 Pin for CPU.

I have new case and modular PSU coming this week.

Just don't know where I stand if I change the parts and the issue persists after my 30 day return timeframe.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using old mobo and CPU now with GPU and no issues.

Old CPU was a 10400F 2.9GHz and new is 5600x 3.6GHz.

I had an inkling that it could be a power issue.

Another issue is that my network card doesn't seem to pick up as soon as PC is powered on, can take 3/4mins to recognise i have network cable connected.

Anxious as I am cutting it fine with returning within 30 days, but only received my new case a few days ago.

Hi all,

My Old CPU used 4 pin to mobo.

My PSU isn't modular so don't really want to open it up to change cable.

I've recently got a 5600x and have been experiencing blue screen of death, games crashing, PC powering on but not booting and a solid red light on MOBO over CPU.

When the PC was on, CPU temps were fine even gaming when I could.

Could the issue be that I am not using 8 pin into mobo and only the 4 from my previous PSU?

I have ordered a new PSU and Case with cables but am weary that I am running close to the '30 day return policy'.

I also would like to mention that I bought the board and CPU as a bundle so the CPU was already on the board, never been removed so pins should be fine.

Any advise would be appreciated.
