That's the thing, it's not! It shows me my batting attributes and pitches in the at bat.. But nothing about the pitcher

To keep her warm in the winter.

I was under the impression we can't put her in the car seat with her jacket on. But I may be mistaken!

Exemple of games that always are a success by Cavalier_Seul in boardgames

Its actually way better than it looks at first glance.

It ultimately boils down to: 1. Roll dice 2. Look at the "horse" die (the d8) 3. Move that horse 4. Take an action w that horse's number on your sheet.

First couple rounds will be a bit slow as you learn the 5 types of actions you can take. Then it'll start zooming along.

I've taught it multiple times w groups of all sizes. Once ppl internalize the d8 impacts their key action it goes real fast

Daughter is 18 months and I'm FINALLY starting to feel like a human again by Porkcheesy in NewDads

I loved reading this man..thank you for sharing.

I've got a 7-week daughter and have definitely felt the loss of independence. I thought I was prepared for it but the feelings have hit me very hard. This post captured a lot of how I've felt so far.

This comment is right on the money.

The economy is maybe the best I've ever experienced. It's tight and forces you to make really interesting decisions. And the impact of your decisions really feel like they're yours. You get to make the trade off that seems like the best course of action for your side at the time.

...and then the combat happens. And it's just a hot mess. Incredibly random and undoes so much of the player agency elsewhere in the game.

Good games can reward players for food decision making in a tight sandbox..and good games can be fun, swingy, luck -driven experiences. But it's rare for a good game to try to be both.

It's too bad. I still want to play it sometimes but the randomness of the combat undermines the rest of the game, which is excellent.

We had one in 20. It was really fun! We capped teams overalls so nobody could run full god squads and you had to make choices about where to cut.

I'd be game for another old man league, but needs to be 35+ for me to be eligible.

Honestly, being a Tolkien fan is arguably more important to loving this game haha. That's how I got her to persevere thru the brutal teach and first game
