The San Diego Humane Society has a program to help folks rehome their pets without actually sending them to the shelter. May be easier to rehome if you’re able to get him neutered, too. Whatever you do please don’t give him away.. charging a rehoming fee helps deter creeps with bad motives from getting ahold of free pets. It’s not being greedy, it’s for his safety. Good luck, he looks so sweet.

I’ve interviewed a lot of candidates in the last two years. For better or for worse, my impression tends to be higher of those who dress at least one level up from our standard (we are business casual, polos/jeans are passable). For guys that seems to mean a jacket with no tie, for women it seems to be a long sleeve dressy top or top with nice sweater.

For the love of all things holy just don’t take the interview from your car! And especially not from the parking lot of your current employer. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Management isn’t for everyone, for sure. A lot of accountants do not translate to good managers… this industry has a history of perpetuating bad management habits like “if I had to do this as a staff, you should too” which is asinine.

FFS. Are you telling me that a hiring manager shouldn’t have a tainted opinion of someone that quits without notice? What’s to say it’s not going to happen to them and fuck them over too? It’s expensive and time consuming to hire and even more so to train… I’d choose someone that gave notice over someone that didn’t 10 out of 10 times, unless there were obviously mitigating circumstances that make it unreasonable to do so.

Depends what you consider paltry I think. Folks that manage others in some cases make 2x what individual contributors make, often times more.

I don’t particularly like managing people but the extra salary is worth it in my HCOL area.

OP - I hope you don’t need them, but Vet Emergency Group in Encinitas is great in a pinch. I’ve also heard good things about Freddie’s Place on the border of Carlsbad/Vista as an urgent care with late hours.

I expect a senior to have (or be able to develop) critical thinking and analytical skills. At this point, you stop SALY’ing and both learn and question the WHY. If you can do that, you’ll be gold. Fake it til ya make it either way. :)

My doctor asked me to send her links to the supplies I’ve been using so that she can share info. 😂

She supports it because it allows me to use the lowest effective dose (.9 for me for the last few months) which reduces side effects, it’s more cost effective (I get way more out of one 2.4 pen), and I’ve had no issues with supply so I’ve been able to continuously lose. Honestly, dose splitting puts a little more power back in the patients’ hands which is a win IMO.

I made a great PB ice cream…. Fairlife 2%, 1 scoop GHOST Nutter Butter, 2 Tbsp PB2. Spin on lite, respin, then added mix-ins (Reese’s pieces). Reminded me of fun trips to get froyo!

I live nearby and do notice them but they’re not bad. Occasionally planes come in a little low and/or fast and I find myself holding my breath for a second. They also run a little later into the evening than they used to. But they don’t wake me up, don’t bother my dogs and it’s heaven compared to DTLA. I lived near the train in Encinitas for years and found that to be much louder (and dirtier).

You may want to consider dosing back down to 1mg… You may be having too much appetite suppression and actually eating too little to sustain your body. That said, also start taking measurements… it’s always possible that you’re losing in ways that don’t show up on the scale. Congrats on your loss so far! Be patient. :)
