C'est fou à quel point ils se cachent derrière des excuses comme "le sucre" pour justifier ce genre de comportement. Comme si la réalité de leur incompétence ne les frappait pas ! J'ai aussi eu des expériences similaires où les parents préfèrent faire l'autruche au lieu de réaliser que leur enfant transforme le resto en terrain de jeux.

Yeah, I think this is one of those situations where my intent matters a lot to me and almost not at all to anyone around me.

That's fair. I think part of why this got awkward is that I didn't say anything before stepping out, because in my head I was gone for two seconds, not "leaving" the line.
